Guestand its exact same reason why it have 6 orders of magnitude more viruses
You know it’s bonked up when even the creator of Linux agrees that Windows does it better

GuestLinux is a Kernel, he didn’t make npm, or apt-get, or the other package managers

GuestExactly his point you scrotebrains, shit would’ve been fixed decades ago if linux was in control of userspace
Use .appimage, it’s what he would’ve wantedNot him but this is how I would do it
jq -r @csv <<<‘["a","b",""c""][1,2,3]’
But with some transformations to mould the json into what it looks like on the input-

Linus is a kernel developer, not a sysadmin and not a package maintainer. They really are worlds apart.
You can "fix" fragmentation in Linux because it exists precisely because different people want different things.
If you think the Fedora users and Gentoo users can standardize on a single package format or package manager then you’re freaking stupid.-

Guestalternatively:
>Linux
you’re not a brainlet and you just type in package manager name, followed by some keyword indicating you want to install if at all needed for the given package manger, type in the name of how you expect that thing you need to be named, hit enter
takes as much as five seconds if one types at snail pace, a second otherwise
99% of the time it just works, for the remaining 1% might need to look up the name
>the winscrote still prefers the long and tedious route, almost invariably ignoring the "verify your download" step, if checksums or anything like that are at all provided in the first place -

GuestThis picture is extra funny because you shouldn’t need nodejs or a new bloated native app with a gui to convert a csv file to a json file, just sed. It’s a one-liner with sed.

Guestnot that anon but python 2 was deprecated, you don’t need it for typical OS operations anymore

GuestSomething being widely used doesn’t make it not deprecated, it just means it is no longer supported and getting future updates, see people using Windows 7 still
nice try, i know how "just leave that out of your linux install, it’s deprecated" actually works out
Actually working out depends on what each person uses their OS for, if you needed it, that is one anecdotal point for you, I haven’t needed it, so that is one anecdotal point for me. I wasn’t arguing anecdotes I was pointing out to you and everyone else reading that many distros stopped shipping Python2.7 AND that 2.7 is no longer getting updates or other improvements as of 2020.

GuestPython2 is only used in businesses that don’t update their shit and leave security holes
You can leave it out of your install for your pc. Arch doesn’t need it and python3 command is renamed to python
