GuestThe board is 90% philosophy. They used to ban it a while back but they stopped because people wouldn’t stop posting

GuestTry G.E.B. OP. It’s mostly relevant to computer science, but it’s also introspective about human thinking as well.
Well there is a literal philosophy board they could go to instead. They just ignore it, for some reason. Probably because they can bait low-information posters into discussions more easily on LULZ.

GuestPhilosophy is supposed to go on LULZ but that board is basically vintage /poo/. It feels like medieval peasants arguing on the internet about the superiority of their own small village.

Guest>medieval peasants arguing
That would be far more interesting, substantial and fun than what’s going on on LULZ.

GuestIts not too bad, just got to wade through a lot of shit and its mostly the religious side of things.

There isn’t a literal philosophy board

I’ll check it out. The consciousness discussion can’t be dumber than the one on LULZ and LULZ.-

GuestEverything on the board is hit or miss to be honest. I can usually find at least one or two threads that interest me, though I also hold beliefs that LULZ would flay me over even though they aren’t that strange and adapted to physics as we know it.
Consciousness threads in particular you can expect a pantheist take. Most of us believe that everything has at least some consciousness, and that the mind isn’t necessarily a consciousness generator but more of a consciousness antenna… A focuser, or shaper.
May sound schitzo, maybe it is. Like my man Socrates I will be the first to admit that I might be wrong about something, but experiences with psychedelics, studying different religions, and even my knowledge of science all lead me to believe its not a crazy theory.
Though I’ve also spent the last 10 years browsing the most schizophrenic board on this site.

GuestPhilosophy is a waste of time because philosophers are morons
