I have a keyboard that allows me to swap switches since I play a lot of rhythm games and can easily ruin a switch in a month
It’s backlit but only white, 104key, and no stupid custom keys or lube or anything. Pretty basic.

      Where do I fit in?

      • #77672
        Anonymous
        Guest

If you’re into rhythm games and doing that do be aware those kailh hotswap sockets are only rated for like 100 swaps lifetime and can loosen up. Both semi-permanent solutions involve soldering: replacement kailh hotswap sockets are like $7 for 50. Or get a macro pad for your games that isn’t hotswap and put millmax sockets on it they do like 1k swaps.
So you know what to do when you eventually run into that issue.

Honest to God, I literally CANNOT fathom how an absolutely revolting aberration like the troon at the bottom can live and breathe and watch itself in the mirror without feeling the supernatural urge to kill itself to rid the world of such abominable horror

Rubber domes feel like shit after a few months. They either become too hard or too soft to press.
You don’t notice this because you are used to bad keyboards

I gave this keyboard several hammer fists with both hands, grabbed it firmly with both hands, smashed it against my forehead and flexed it back and forth, twisting it, smashing it against the top of my head, leaving red and purple marks all over my scalp and forehead. Still works fine, every key. Beware the dangers of FPS games.

The RGB keyboard is the best, as long as you can set it to a reasonable color to match the lighting in your room.
At night I like to work with a small warm light and need a backlight keyboard so getting it to emit light of the same color is pretty nice.

My boomer dad likes abs shine through caps and backlight rgb because he’s blind as fuck and never learned to touch type. I get why it appeals to normies.
Keycap backlights are yuck. I don’t hate clear case designs that utilize pcb underglow as long as the rgb is on a non obnoxious setting and most importantly the keyboard looks good with it turned off. I install backlights in most of my keyboards but I only really use them if I want to game in the dark but have enough light to smoke weed at my desk between games without turning an actual light on. I guess. That’s the only use I’ve ever found for them.

It’s to see the keys even when in the dark.
Most people can’t touch type and most of those who can, can’t do it with all the keys on the keyboard.

based, membrane keyboards are silent and they also prevent arthritis in the long run.

      MKfags will get crooked fingers.

I got one of those picrel guys on omegle once and he recoiled in fear when I pointed out his clear new england garden gnome accent. I was in a voice channel with a f*male who happened to be fucking around on omegle when the guy started calling her a tranny while kind of sounding like he was jerking off until I started talking to him.

Office keyboards are for normies who have to type all fucking day long, so in reality they’re really, really good and comfy for typing.

Cleaned my membrane keyboard with glass cleaner and a toothbrush today, then blow-dried it. Good as new and will last many more years to come.

I use a Logitech K840 at work, the people where I work were burning through keyboards because they get super dirty and rubber domes end up sticking really bad when they’re full of soot and grease and such, and these hold up a lot better and are easier to clean.
Subsequently the front office people requested the same and now they use them too.

I think it’s a nice balance of meme mechanical and legit nice hardware.
