Idk man, it’s a decent program for scanning since you can rotate and do quick edits right after scanning. Works better than most scanner-specific apps I’ve used, and will work just fine with most scanners.

People complained. The public also forced microsoft to bring back other core features like the start menu too. Windows 8 didnt have that for some reason (microsoft dumb).

          Microsoft smart, people dumb.
A full-sized Start Screen is a much better concept than a small corner menu. The only real issue is that MS cluttered it too much in a freshly installed Win8 with garbage no one would use. The other big issue is that the "All apps" menu view was awful, they could’ve worked on that a bit more.

They should have instead made a blank start screen initially, or maybe one or two core apps/links and an inoffensive live tile (e.g. Weather). A nice interactive welcome/help screen on Windows startup, like Windows 98SE had, could have also helped.

i wonder what people even do at microsoft. do they just draft UI design changes all day? does anyone ever get paid to program actual functions? paint is ancient and missing so many basic features such as layers and hexadecimal value output. the color panel hasn’t changed since windows 95.

like most people i have a calculator button on my keyboard. in XP/7 this would snap it open instantly. it was so fast you could do your calculation in the very same gesture with hitting the launch calc key. it wasn’t until windows 10’s move away from classic shell that the calculator took actual time to load and now you can’t do this anymore.

the windows 10 start search is functionless as it gets and doesn’t bother indexing actual programs on your computer. getting bing web results by default instead that open in that bastard eyesore of a "browser" edge is the most insulting anti-compete bullshit, and they’re really so proud of this horrible shit that they make it as challenging as possible to turn this nonsense off.

i really wish whoever is pushing this form over function nonsense in this company to be run over by a truck already.

No one is pushing it. It’s people justifying their jobs. That’s 95% of tech work. Find something- anything- to fix, even if it’s not broken, so you can continue to collect a wage to goof off for 7 hours a day.

I have a shitty laptop and the calculator button isn’t instant for me.
It takes a few seconds to load and once it does it’s just an empty rectangle on which the elements load up one by one over the course of 2 to 3 seconds.

They’re not proud of anything its just that they prefer to filter everything through bing first so MS can datamine that sweet sweet usage data from you.

You are the product and windows 10s method of function compared to older windows versions is proof of that.
