Have you ever camped longer than a couple days? It would be done more as a convenience. If you had to travel several days across the desert you probably wouldn’t have the greatest dick cleaning set-up, much easier to let your dick clean itself off by rubbing against your loins and washing those. I’m not supporting circumcision at all, i think it’s useless now, but it certainly made sense for a lot of people in a lot of climates.
