Feels good to have "disposable" money but pirate most things anyway just so I can have more of it.

even linux gaming will just be windows copies run through proton.
native linux software is a waste of time.

when it comes to paid proprietary software. yes

but for FOSS shit (like emulators, Doom source ports and the free Quake clones) i think they are pretty good on Linux
(Especially if your computer is old as fuck)

certain things are OK to pirate, like adobe software which uses shady subscription services to scam customers who dont read fineprint. i dont know if you saw that outrage with the random woman who got burned by adobe
i dont though, because linux. but i would pirate windows if i gave a shit even though the key that came with the install cd offers unlimited upgrades to windows 11 or whatever

Cool, I’ll tell my quarter-mil in the bank that.
To be fair, I happily buy software for my friends and family – but never for myself.

unless you’re getting your software tax deducted all you are is a good goy
the end game is having a system where your expenses can be written off as deductions, that’s success
if not, you’re just a cuck happy to be abused, like those boomers who were proud of working shit jobs for pennies

They’re not as daring these days but they ran this ad in 2006. Piracy is a Swedish tradition, only burgers get mad when you download media for free.

Yes. Incentives exist. Further, most FOSSshit only exists because it has paid software to ape – so it’s not like that would save you.
