GuestSome of them are really incredible but I’ve noticed the bad quality ones have this weird blur to them. The faces look like a really high quality render of those "age progressed" photos of missing children or something. You know what I mean?

GuestWas just going to make one of these. I’ve been freaking with https://bellard.org/textsynth/, even got a fun one about LULZ.
—
Everyone knows the best board on LULZ is LULZ (g is for girls), but there’s so much more you can find out there. You should come out of the shadows. You should not live inside a hole. You are going to see the best of LULZ, but it is better than you would ever think. We’re going to try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible. There is a massive amount of content here, it’s impossible to keep it 100% spoiler free.
But we are pretty sure you are a new reader to LULZ, so here’s what you need to know.
1) The Rules of the Site
LULZ’s rules are fairly straight-forward.
1. No racism. No sexism. No homophobia.
No, really. They actually have those rules. No, really. They actually have those rules. 2. Everyone can edit their user-page
They made the user-page

GuestHere’s what’s wrong with Linux:
1. GNU is GPL
2. Linux Foundation is a non-profit organization
3. The Linux Kernel is closed source
4. The Linux Documentation Project is the one exception
5. You can’t just use any Linux distribution
6. The software sucks
7. Developers are poopyholes
8. The users are stupid
9. The world needs Microsoft
10. GNU and BSD are bad
11. Linux is a mess
12. The GPL is evil
13. The GPL means users can’t make custom distributions
14. Most Linux users don’t know how to use Linux
15. Windows is better
16. Microsoft is good
17. No one likes GNU
18. BSD is better
19. If everyone used the BSD license everyone would be rich and happy
20. You should be using some obscure version of Solaris, Linux

Guest>The best investment is
what you want, what you need. The worst investment is what you don’t want, what you don’t need.”
It’s the kind of advice that is often taken as gospel by small business owners. The problem is it’s not true.
Every business decision you make is a gamble. No matter how many people you have working for you or how large your company becomes, every new idea, decision, and action that you take comes with risk. Every time you move forward, you make a decision about whether to walk a path, or take a side-road, there is a chance that you may never find out if the idea could have been profitable. If you get to that point and it’s something you really want to see happen, then, you might still lose everything you’ve invested. That’s why this quote isn’t a good piece of advice. If you take too much risk with your business, it may even destroy you.
What if you were able to choose which investment ideas to pursue? What if you were in a position to choose what you really wanted to pursue? What would you do?
If you could see the real opportunity in what you’re doing today, and it meant taking on additional risk, would you try it?
I ask this question because the time is here. The moment that you are reading this is the moment where you get to decide which idea will bring you the most value and what you will pursue. Every single decision you make is a bet on your future.

Guest>https://bellard.org/textsynth/
I love GNU/Linux, because of it’s freedom.
And that’s also why I’ve installed Linux Mint.
I don’t use or need a lot of the features, and it has a lot less hassle installing something than on Windows.>So I just installed the Cinnamon version of it to my SSD
>and it runs pretty good.>I would prefer the Unity version, and I would use the Unity version of Mint if the Cinnamon version wasn’t there, but I can live with it.
>For some reason, people say that you can’t put Windows apps on Linux, because of the way that Linux does everything.
>That’s false.>I have no issues with that.
>You can do that, and there’s the PlayOnLinux and Wine for a reason, which is great.
>What the people miss is that you can install apps on Linux and Windows, the biggest problem here is when you just run Linux.
how utterly terrifying.
It’s only slightly off. there is something very much uncanny valley about the text, so you can recognize that it was written by something that lacks higher brain function. but it’s close. very, very close. -

GuestEvery AI that generates an "original" face always makes every face overly-symmetrical, it can’t seem to create an original "human-like" face. They almost look uncanny and weird to me.

GuestGPT is everywhere now and this is probably the best version of it available to the public. NAI is only a modified version of GPT-2. GPT-3 feels like interacting with a r*ddit user, it feels like there might be a real person talking to you, but they’re scrotebrained. The major problem is that OpenAI, who manages GPT-3, is run by some of the worst people in tech today. AI Dungeon had a sweetheart deal with OpenAI that changed at some point, so that even though they were using more advanced technology, they were forced to implement changes that ruined how the system works. Now they ban you from their servers for things the ai wrote.

GuestLast year OpenAI sold out to M$. Developers can still use the API, but only M$ has the underlying model.

GuestShame too, it was one of the few things I found on the internet that truly sparked a childlike curiosity for me. It was a lot of fun messing around with it, seeing what it could do. Same old story, can’t fault the guys who started it up, they make companies to sell to scroteMAN. Impossible to walk away from a billion dollars when it’s literally your job to take that money. It really felt like finding a new toy, and then watching that toy be repurposed for war. Going to be a shitty time on the internet in a couple of years, I can’t believe that I’m nostalgic about 2015, but seeing what GPT-3 is capable of and how quickly it can be done doesn’t leave me with a lot of hope for using the internet in the future. Wiby.me has shown me some real comfy websites, there is still a lot of places that aren’t part of a corporate umbrella. There is hope in these places.

GuestYou are a freaking idiot. You should be thrown in jail. If you read the freaking comments, there are people who support the freaking law, there are people who support the person, who was a cop, who bonked over a guy who had a lot of weapons and who was going on a killing spree. I don’t give a shit about what a freaking cop does. They protect me, because they’ve killed and they should have a clean bill of freaking health.
It does not matter who was behind the wheel or what happened. You have no basis for claiming that the people on the scene were bad cops, because they were just doing what they were trained to do.
The people on the scene were trained, not me.

GuestIt’d be fun to generate a fake persona with like fakena, get a AI gen’d face, make a facebook account, then use text synth to generate posts on random (relevant) seeds and see how far down the rabbit hole you can get.
