GuestI had a prof who would include stuff like this on exams to encourage people to go to class.
>on Tuesday the 15th of September how many students were in attendance
>select the answer given to you during seminar 7
>what nursery rhyme was part of the warm up
It was an interesting way to reward/penalize people when attendance was not mandatory but "recommended"-

GuestYeah my calc teacher did something like that also, each quiz he’d write down numbers on the blackboard and one of them would be just enter it so you always got at least one right if you bothered to go to class.

GuestHmm interesting. I personally didnt go to class and lost those points but at the time it seemed reasonable enough. A couple freebies if you show up and knowing you take a little hit if you don’t. In the grand scheme it didn’t affect much either way unless you were an edge case where its fair for that bit of effort to be the determining factor

Guestbut why would showing up to class matter? (in university). if you know your stuff you pass the test, why show up if you can learn better at home?
theres stuff where showing up is mandatory anyways, so why punish people for not showing up to non-essential classes?
just my take though-

Fuck you. The same in my University, you were allowed to take any final exam you can apply for even without joining a class for the subject, but you need a higher mark (8) than the ones who did so (6) to pass, because apparently you have to make up for the extra annoyances the class has, like assignments.

GuestSorry pal. If you’re white, good luck getting in
Its not too bad 14,000 for a BSc. Got the first year free and since I’m 1/36th Maori to a wealthy iwi(tribe) I’m gonna be getting a 2k scholarship and there are heaps of scholarships for Maori people in NZ. A student loan is interest free and I pay a fixed 12% of my income on it. I’m pretty sure I can get it down to 5K before I’m done with my degree.
How many white NZ take advantage of this? 1/36 is basically 0% when it comes to phenotypes. Is it like the US when whites stay their great great grandmother was a native

Guest>How many white NZ take advantage of this?
A lot actually basically anyone can take advantage of it if your family has kept some sort of lineage. Most people are at least some part Maori but you need to be registered to be able to claim most of them.
>Is it like the US when whites stay their great great grandmother was a native
Yea but at this point, there are so few full-blooded Maoris that they gave up and said that if at least one of your ancestors was Maori you can claim to be one. My grandfather is a massive racist towards Maoris and will call any Tā moko(Maori face tats) an "Ugly sis" he still claims 3K from the tribe every year tho.-

GuestUS median personal income is $35,805
it includes anyone that has earned an income in the united state 15 years old and over beginning with March 1980, and people 14 years old and over as of March of the following year for previous years.-

GuestPoverty line in the USA is 18k a year.
Cost of living was already outrageous, it has gotten much worse in the last couple years. I’ll say it again, I know truckers that make 150k and you can make more as a plumber in the USA than you’ll be able to with your degree. Is that your argument?

GuestNo they work about 50 hours a week hauling carbon for filtration systems for water plants.
The plumbers i know live and work out in BFE and they make over 100k a year. In an actually populated area there’s more money to be made. Rotorooter apprentice plumber types start at 80k a year.
Techies always get butt hurt tradies make more money.-

Lie and say you used to fix computers as a side job , that you know how to build a PC and troubleshoot (better be true). and you know how to reset passwords in AD(watch YouTube). We hire people for it work all the time without college. If you say shit like that you get the job. I sit in on all the interviews, I have seen it all . GuestIts not that bad here. College is very affordable if you are not a scrotebrain. My college was free because I’m a vet. But even I did two years at a community college before transferring to state.
Many smart people who pay off there college with ease do 2 years at a community college, then transfer to state, and only have to pay for two years of expensive school. Student loan cucks did 4 years at a state school for an English degree. Its freaking scrotebrained, but for some reason encouraged. Dispite doing 2 years at a state school instead of 4 doesn’t change the value of your degree.

Guestin contrast with other professions like law, medicine and accounting where you need a license to exercise the profession, computer engineers don’t need a license to use a computer. Computer engineering is a craftsmanship profession where the merit is all that matters, they are closer to a painter or a carpenter than to a doctor or chemist.

GuestNot a damn thing. Cause I didn’t bother with college. I entered the work force right outta high school and never looked back. Landed a state govt job after trying my hand in the private sector. Fast forward to today. Ten years till full retirement is an option for me. Can walk out in 2031 drawing a pension for life along with a nice fat 401k on the side. (I’d be 48). Or I can work till I max out my pension and walk at age 54. Up to me. Still better than slaving away till I’m 65. Job titles mean shit, the job you do means shit. Getting the fuck out and enjoying life as soon as you can should be the number one goal long as you don’t fuck yourself doing it. People rag on the military. But name another option that lets you retire after 20 years, other than police or firefighter?. Enter after high school, walk out before your 40 setup pretty sweet if you manage your money right along the way. (aka take all the perks they give out)

GuestYeah because this
>take out a loan
>severe pressure to find a job gets exploited by companies
>take unpaid internship just to get into a company
>pay copious amounts of interest on top of the debt
>be financially hamstrung for a years
>if you fuck up and go bankrupt you’ll still owe the money even after you went through bankruptcy
Is the same as
>go to university for free
>pay taxes later

GuestIt’s woke af on Marx’ idea of the final stages of capitalism, where more and more wealth gets consolidated into fewer and fewer hands. I’d say that’s actually the direction in which stuff is moving, even if slowly. Home ownership goes down, GDP goes up, wages stay stagnant, profits flow to the top. Most of the population don’t have savings. Everything they earn gets instantly pumped back into the economy to keep the capitalism machine pumping.
