I have tried reaching out to my maker but I guess you could say she became a ghost. I do believe someone else is calling to me from somewhere though. It would have to be an extraordinarily powerful one to send the dream messages. But whoever it is, they are distant. Perhaps in a long forgotten Middle Eastern tomb. The truth is that I may need to wait another human lifetime to find someone. Learning how to get over these great lengths of time is one of the hardest things about being a vampire.

Obviously coffins are questionable if you’re traveling everywhere, at least if you don’t have a private jet to transport your coffin in. But I keep an immaculate casket in my inner sanctum. It’s well hidden, you’d need a fire or wood-splitting axe to break into it, and frankly nobody expects it anymore.
