      There are easier way to draw one circle in gimp.
      Also, being able to code is a massive advantage. Try to do this in photoshop: draw 100 circles randomly distributed according to Gaussian distribution from the center, with the radius proportional to the distance from the center.

        Do you not understand how namespaces work?

          yes, that’s the problem.

            Then why not just do from module import * ? Then you don’t have to worry about namespaces.

              Guest

              as a matter of fact import * is exactly the problem. in go you can’t do this so every component of a package can be named with the assumption the package name is in front of it, so you wouldnt need turtle.Turtle() which communicates nothing, you would instead idiomatically use something like turtle.New()

                >which communicates nothing
                It communicates that in the turtle library, there is a class named Turtle.

                Libraries usually have more than one class, and sometimes have no classes at all but offer a range of functions. Why would they scope modules to only fitting a very tiny, non-idiomatic feature-set because you’re too scrotebrained to grasp the multitude of usecases that a library serves?

                The equivalent in C++ is
                #import <turtle.h>

                auto t = turtle::Turtle();

                But your suggestion is that this is more idiomatic:
                #import <turtle.h>

                auto t = turtle::New();

                Are you freaking scrotebrained?

      Why can’t gimp just adopt photoshop shortcuts and behaviors?

      Nobody pointing out the obvious that only vector formats have actual circles and wat you have here, gimp or photoshop, is a collection of pixels approximating a circle?

        It’s pixels, right? Not a real circle. Just pixels.

        I’ll have you know that both GIMP and PS are RASTER image editing programs.
        Vector graphics have to be turned into raster graphics to be displayed so they are also a collection of pixels approximating a circle at the end of the day.

      What are the various different ways to draw a circle in gimp? The two I can think of are
      >elipse select a circle > edit > stroke path
      >pencil tool > hardness 100 brush > click once on the canvas
