As long as it’s anti-white it has to go. Sure it does some good decisions like this but as it is it’s existential threat to Europeans.

You’d be surprised. My sis is a mac/iphone user. He legit doesn’t want the phone to have usb-c. He couldn’t even give a reason for why he just kept saying they shouldn’t force apple to do that, despite all the benefits like fewer cables and better compatibility and speed.

I agree with your idiot sis, t/b/h. While I would definitely prefer that Apple switch to USB C voluntarily, I oppose any kind of law mandating that switch.

What authority does the EU believe it has over an American company?

The EU doesn’t force Apple to change its connectors. It just regulates what kind of devices can be sold in the EU. Apple can continue to build their devices with their own connector. To be quite honest, please do that Apple. Please stick with your own connectors and stay away from the EU market. Thank you very much in advance.

Apple really doesn’t want to leave one of its biggest markets, especially as there are competitors already strong in the market ready to take over. Redesigning the power connector is a small price to pay for keeping those billions flowing in and their lock on all those customers’ app-store purchases.

Oh i would love for the Apple cancer to fuck off from Europe. My parents are old and not tech savvy so they ended up buying iphones a few years back. Having to fix and manage those phones for them must have been one of my worst experiences. Apple is cancer, i am not even joking. I’d rather use my old Nokia than ever touch an Apple phone. thankfully now i have them both on android phones and everything is stellar.

          Woke af EU

Youre a complete moron, arent you?
Apple sells a lot of product in Europe. Its a lot of people.
If they want to keep selling products in Europe, they have to change their product to fit with what the EU allows. Meaning iPhones sold in the EU will need to have USB-C now. But to make things more cost efficient, apple will probably have to just make all phones, sold in all countries, USB-C going forward, because producing two types of phones for each port would be daunting.

basically, they need to adapt if they dont want to lose out on the european market and its billion people

That’s like saying, "what authority does the American government have over the Mexican drug cartel". They freaking sell shit in their country. If apple wants to stop selling in the EU they can go for it. Or they can stop being scrotebrained and start using an objectively superior connector on their phones sold in the EU.

Are you expecting the lightning socket on your phone to turn into a USB-C overnight? Who cares, you get your charging cable with your phone anyway, the next phone will have a different socket, that is all.
Inferior socket but charging will be wireless so again, who cares?

Could you imagine if every electricity supplier and manufacturer of electrical goods had different connections and different supply for their goods?
        No.
        Standardised plug and socket.
        Standardised voltage in alternating current.
        Standardised electric supply makes sense.
        The US should follow.

Go have a nice day bootlicker, standards that are good arise naturally, centralization and violence by the state to demand artificially created standards always end in shit.
Not to mention the moral argument that no company should be forced at gunpoint to obey to some standard, even if the alternative the company was originally proposing was shit

Yes, they should. They already do. They obey the OSHA. They obey the labour laws. They obey the standards for energy efficiency. They comply countless other standards.
You have somehow managed to combine being both a corporate bootlicker and a freetard at the same time.

          >if it wasnt for eu every phone manufacturer would still have their own cable ports
That would have happened on its own due to market forces. Or we could have had some other innovation that was never invented due to the regulation. Also, the phone side of the cable could be whatever the company wanted. All the EU did was mandate the type of port and voltage for the charger.

no. if usb-c does become outdated and something better comes along then the eu will have the power to force a new standard onto that part of world, probably with usb-c compatibility, and give corporations/manufacturers time to adapt
