We don’t actually know why they attack people who get close. It may be a byproduct of earlier contact, a religious belief, territorial defense, or some mixture of the above. It’s very possible that a a European could do that though if they could converse with the locals well enough to sort out what the problem is and convince them not to react violently. It has been done before if briefly and several decades ago.
Interestingly this may be exactly why they DO kill outsiders who get too close. The first contact they had with Europeans was not pleasant and exposed them to possible disease after a kidnapping of several of their members, some of which died of disease … before the rest were returned. As you could imagine if a bunch of them were killed in the 19th century by illness after some pasty skinned freak dragged a few of them off, it would make sense that they’d try to fight away the curse bearing sea demons.

Not even the wokest leftist would deny that there are different populations in the world and that they look different from each other and that it’s genetic. The idea is that the grouping them into three or four blocks (races) poorly describe human genetic diversity – hence in modern studies it’s more common to see talk about haplogroups, ethnic groups, various founder populations that contributed to some modern group’s genome, etc. instead of trying to box them into a strict, taxonomy-like classification.

Anyways, I have noticed a trend among many leftists and liberals. That trend is that they think that by explaining the historical provenance of an idea, they have somehow debunked it. But this does not make any sense. Just because electrons were discovered in the late victorian era, that does not mean that electrons did not exist before that. If you want to argue about whether racism is valid or invalid, you’ll have to bring much better and more pertient evidence.
