Democracy already has, in 1949. The working class is the majority.

I rarely post in counter-factual history threads because things happened for a reason, but I don’t know if things really would’ve been that different from a long-term perspective. There was this paranoid anti-communist American TV miniseries from the 80s called Amerika about a Soviet takeover, and it’s kinda funny because the Soviet occupation just promotes some local Democratic Party county commissioners to be the governors of the reorganized states, and the one of the kids gets up and is like "the party will lead us to a new age."

And then it shows the communist school indoctrination, and this was apparently controversial at the time, but it seems pretty reasonable:

      Communist TV:

It’s probably not that things would actually change that much. And the KMT ended up reorganizing with a Leninist structure (organizationally speaking anyways) for a big chunk of the post-1949 period and that’s pretty much how they ran Taiwan.

China is literally crumpling under it’s own size, their real estate market has stressed their cities to such a degree that they are forbidding building of more buildings, their public service and health system is literally something you would read about in The Onion, their younger generations are literally saying no to abusive work culture in a country that is "workshop of the globe", their military lost to 20 Indians with spears and so much more that you wonder if "century of humiliation" is really a century or rather a millenium.

Taiwan will remain free because China never invaded a country successfully, they have only been invaded.

            >that they are forbidding building of more buildings
Funny. Just recently I could have sworn the predominant criticism of amerifarts towards China was that they were building too many empty “ghost cities.” Pick one.
            >their public service and health system is bad
            Pot. Kettle. Black.
            >their younger generations are literally saying no to abusive work culture
This is true, however, you’re not mentioning that america has the same issue. Social media content creators where younguns wander around in an RV have been described as the fastest growing small business in the US. There are more employment openings than there have ever been in US history right now but applications for them from younger generations is at an all time low. Turns out not only Chinese get fed up with crappy workplaces.
            >their military lost to 20 indians with spears
It was the Chinese side that carried spears. This is abundantly obvious from every image and video that’s surface from the Galwan clash.
            >China never invaded a country successfully
Several reasons why this one is scrotebrained. First off, Taiwan was literally a fully pacified Japanese colony for the first half of the 20th century.
Second, here’s a full list of successful Chinese invasions and attacks.
            >215 BC: Qin China defeats the Xiongu northern steppe nomads
            >214 BC: China conquers aboriginal Yue tribes in northern vietnam
            >111 BC: Han China takes over the Vietnamese Minyue dynasty by force (first period of Chinese domination of Vietnam)
            >113, 119, 200 BC: Han China defeat the Xiongnu Kingdom three times
            >104 BC: China defeats Greek merchant city states in northwestern China; establishing the Silk Road
            >67, 36, 73, 89 BC: Han forces completely pacify the Xiongnu in four different invasions
            >40 AD: China defeats Vietnamese rebel kingdom (second period of Chinese domination over Vietnam)
            >244 AD: China defeats Korean Gorguryeo Dynasty
            >602: Sui China defeats Vietnam Ly dynasty (third period of domination)

              >657-58: Tang China defeats the remnants of the Turkic Empire twice more
              >645: Tang China completely conquers the Korean Goeguryeo empire
              >663: Tang China invades northern Korea to defeat Yamato Japan’s client state
              >717: Tang China advances into the western desert and defeats an Umayyad-Tibetan-Turkic coalition
Let’s fast forward several centuries because i’m getting bored
              >1382: Ming China defeats mongol stronghold in Yunnan
              >1387-88: Ming China expands into Toghus and Naghachu Mongol territory and defeats both
              >15th century: Ming China takes over the Turpan Khaganate
              >1406: Ming China defeats Vietnamese Ho Dynasty (fourth period of Chinese domination over Vietnam)

              >1592-98: Imjin War; joint Ming-Korean forces defeat a large Japanese warlord coalition
              >1620s-70s: Ming China defeats the Dutch in a series of battles around Taiwan
              >1652-89: Qing China defeats the Russian empire in northern territorial expansion
              >1661: Koxinga’s Chinese forces defeats the Dutch in Taiwan and conquers their territory
              >1687-1757: Qing China adds Tibet and Xinjiang to its empire in a series of four major wars against the Dzungars

1840-1949: the century of humiliation begins. Chinese Qing suffers revolts which leads to losses from the European powers which leads to the Qing collapse which leads to warlords which leads to the nationalists which leads to the Second World War which leads to Mao’s victory and the people’s republic of China.
                >1950: Red China violently annexes Tibet.
                >1960: Red China invades northern Burma and destroys the last remnants of the nationalist forces.
                >1962: Red China invades and defeats the republic of India.
                >1974: Red China invades and expels Vietnamese forces from the Paracel Islands.
                >1979-91: Red China and Vietnam engage in continuous border conflicts which end in a ceasefire agreement allowing China to keep the northern Vietnamese territory it has captured, as well as six reefs in the spratly islands
There you have it, you babbling /poo/ untermensch. This isn’t a full list of Chinese military operations (obviously) as the rest are either China itself being invaded, defeats or stalemates, but it should be enough to convince you to never post here again and stay the fuck in your containment board. scrote.

              >Pot. Kettle. Black
No, nowhere the same and China is not comparable to US in any shape or form.

              >This is true, however, you’re not mentioning that america has the same issue. Chinese are workers of the world, nobody cares what they think about work conditions and again, not comparable to my nation nor Europa nor USA.

              >It was the Chinese side that carried spears. This is abundantly obvious from every image and video that’s surface from the Galwan clash.
Your "army" lost to unarmed Indians while being equipped with spears…and you want to invade Taiwan???!!

                >pick one isn’t an argument
Lol, yes it is. Either China is bad because it builds too much, or it’s bad because they’ve stopped building. Choose one to criticize, but only one. You can’t whine about both at the same time. That is a logical fallacy.
                >no, nowhere the same
Yes, exactly the same, and if you really are a Balkanscrote, it applies doubly so considering the extreme dysfunction of former Yugoslavia.

                >Chinese are the workers of the world
                This is true
                >nobody cares what they think about working conditions
Seeing as you tried and failed miserably to try and say China is declining because Chinese workers don’t like their working conditions, I’d say you care quite a lot
                >your army lost to untrained Indians
                How are career soldiers “untrained?”
                >while being equipped with spears
You realize that the Chinese troops had spears because China and India have an agreement that neither side is allowed to carry guns in the territory in which the clash took place, right? That’s why it was a huge melee brawl with no firearms on either side
                >lost
Over the following year of the skirmish, Chinese settlers have moved into the area to replace Indian ones, Chinese troops have amped up their presence and Indian troops have redeployed in areas in and around Galwan. A strange “””defeat””” indeed!
                >defeating tribals whoah

Why the fuck is there still a big gender imbalance for babies? Didn’t they make it illegal for sonographers to tell couples the gender of their unborn?

most can’t afford or don’t have the time for a second baby so they usually stick with hoping for a son

                Jesus that’s grim.
I understand in days gone by there might have been some incentive to have at least one son in terms of inheritance’s and land ownership but is there any practical value in this in present day China, or is it entirely a cultural thing?

If your first child is a son, people stop having kids.
If your first child is a daughter, people are more likely to try again.

I get that, what I don’t get is why having a son is still such a huge deal to them in the first place.

There isnt a big need for jet engines. There is however a big need for smartphones, software and telecommunication tech. Thats why they are definitely competing high tech on those fronts.
