Anything you need to search for that isn’t obscure as fuck can be found easily by assuming google results or just searching leddit since that’s 90% of what you’re going to get anyway. When you actually need assistance finding something less mainstream or relevant google is beyond freaking worthless and will return results completely unrelated to anything. Same as YouTube. Imagine buying YouTube in 2006 and somehow making the search worse 15 years later because of arbitrary partisan censorship. It’s just so beyond scrotebrained it’s become funny. Anything I wanna find has to be thrown through some stupid American partisan filter now and contrasted with whatever is currently the popular stance to take.

Meanwhile If I just use Yandex everything is better. Results that don’t even show up on google are result NUMBER ONE on yandex. Fuck google and fuck you.

/poo/ was too influential and too vulnerable to attack and infiltration by determined outsiders. The next bastion for free thought will probably need to be somewhere else. Somewhere that’s uncensorable or at least relatively uncensored, robust enough to not be easily shut down, and small enough that the tech oligarchs don’t feel threatened (at first).

I still use google to search something on specific sites. For example, default forum search on forum.thinkpads.com sucks ass and requiirieireiies me to wait 60 seconds before searching.
      DuckDuckGo doesn’t have "site:sitename.com" function.
Startpage whines about "REEEEEEE, YOUR QUIERY LOOKS AUTOMATIC" when I use Tor and "site:sitename.com".
Internal search on tbharchive is good tho.

DuckDuckGo sucks ass in general and throws shitty websites at any search quiery. I’ve never managed to find something relevant with DDG.
It also shows me Bulgarian websites when I search something with cyrillic letters.

duck censors plenty too, as does brave/qwant.

rarbg is my go to test for censorship, if they willingly show the fake scam proxy websites and not the official one (.to) in some capacity then they want you to fail big time. The real domain is rarbg.to which you can be shown in subtext if you type "rarbg domain". It’s funny because they all show 1337x official website upfront but not rarbg.

Brave and google just both gave me rarbg.to as first result for rarbg. Qwant didnt. Didnt try duck as i dont like duck much.

google shows it on the side bar way down under url for me but it is not clickable. and all the results are proxy spam links without reference to the real site. Since I never use google we might be experiencing the bubble that causes newbs from becoming well versed in woke af things too easily.

He’d be correct to do so.
If you look up married couple it’s all white people.
If you look up family stock photo it’s 75% whites and 25% blacks.
Same if you look up just "couple".
Looking up inventors is a bit shit because it has a tendency to return inventions and diagrams more than anything.

That being said I have no doubt people at Google tweaked it so that scrotes get mad when they look up "WHITE ARYAN MARRIED COUPLE WITH BABY", but I’m totally fine with that if it makes you have a histrionic fit

When GIS stopped linking directly to images is when I abandoned ship. Yes there’s a workaround but tbh I was just looking for a reason). The blatant, hamfisted manipulation and censorship of anything even tangentially political didn’t get really bad until after that IIRC.

I remember once ~2017ish I searched for just the word "hitler" and the second result was some "Yes Trump is really seriously literally Hitler" article. Should’ve archived it; got a screenshot on my other pc.
