    >Yamnaya man
Only Greeks and Armenians come from Yamnaya. The rest are from Corded Ware, which is a sibling of Yamnaya, not a descendant.

How are Northwest Europeans not descendants of Yamnaya? Corded Ware and Bell-Beaker both possess R1b but I had thought Yamnaya is where it originates.

CWC and Beakers have R1b-L51, while Yamnaya was Z2103. They're different subclades. There's other differences like in technology; Yamnaya had bronze and CWC didn't. The truth is that both Yamnaya and CWC come from the older Sredni Stog culture.

Agricultural terminology suggest CWC and IE are specifically descended from ukrainian yamnaya on the west pontic region

The paper specifies with dnieper which extends between the steppe and forest steppe. This tracks with all the other information.

            >in the forest steppe
            So not Yamnaya

            [...]
            Yamnaya had no Indian ancestry.

            shared wheel terminology=shared cultural horizon.
Doesn't matter what you call it.
Also I'm not even sure Greek comes from Yamnaya-proper. All of their steppe lineages so far are R-PF7563.

The immediate predecessor of CWC also lived in Ukraine in the steppe region. See Sredni Stog.

They definitely had a shared cultural horizon, but that's not the same as direct descent.
            >PF7563
That may have been a minority lineage within Yamnaya that we haven't found yet, but became common in Greece because of founder effect. Look at the current distribution of this clade: it's Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Anatolia and the Middle East. Looks like Yamnaya and its descendants.
