Sorry I am a proud heterosexual.
At the time the logo was made the rainbow was more of a bible thing than a fag thing. I'd imagine at the time Apple was really just thinking about spectra since they tended to be more secular and focused at the time and not into either God or daemons.
Most of the people using it now (especially here) are probably just wishing things were still like that.
You don't understand, Apple is demonic and the rainblow flag symbolises the Noahide Laws (look into it, it's the kike laws that will get us all killed for not worshipping the antichrist).
Signs and numbers rule the world. They've successfully put up a Noahide flag at every damn institution / church. We've been conquered
The three major religions of this planet all revolve around the Noahide laws and that's been the case for 1500 years now. Calm down.
I prefer basic functionality, no thanks.
Such as?
games (emphasis on games)
decent music players
flash support
webm support
jailbroken by default
hardware agnosticism
>hardware agnosticism
if you use mac you use apple hardware, that's the entire point.
>flash support
There isn't flash support even in windows
>webm
it's mac os not IOS, you can play webms just fine
>jailbroken by default
You can literally install linux on your macbook but why would you
>You can literally install linux on your macbook but why would you
Because MacOS has become a pajeet-ruined trash.
Another thing I didn't mention is the HUGE latency in using Terminal applications now because they completely changed how they load things which introduced a woefully inefficient JIT system which seems to unload everything even after just using it.
>games (emphasis on games)
this isn't a game console. you need to be 18 and older to post on this website
>decent music players
it can run them
>flash support
no one has flash support, kiddo
>webm support
everyone can run webms. this isn't ios
>jailbroken by default
this isn't ios
>hardware agnosticism
look at how many hardware combinations are supported by hackintosh
hackintosh isn't a usable daily driver though, just a proof of concept.
Asahi Linux isn't even worth using yet, its why hardware jails are bad, plain like my toast (im white)
let me just open this file in Safar-ACK!
>hackintosh isn't a usable daily driver though, just a proof of concept.
hahahashahahaha what is this trash?
go use it then and report your findings, and your mileage will vary considering how system calls have the hardware in mind...
ok sure 🙂
at least you have taste, I'll give you that
What are you going to do once they abandon X86?
Did Apple ever use x86? I thought they didn't switch to Intel until after they were only making AMD64 chips under license.
I mean x86-64
That's just what Intel calls AMD64 so they don't get embarrassed by the fact that they went from producing their own internal designs, to being reduced to producing a competitors architecture under license.
Its no wonder that Apple dumped Intel. Failure of a company with no vision for the future other than catching up to its rival's hardware.
There were one or two generations of 32bit only Intel macs.
KVM works on arm.
>KVM works on arm.
Doesn't apple use some custom ARM additions for their chips meaning that you can't virtualize it?
Appajeets broke all VM software with M1/M2 architecture. Windows has to virtualize as ARM instead of X64, many windows apps won't run on ARM.
>What are you going to do once they abandon X86?
stop using it
nothing i can do about it.
i have Linux and Windows installed on the same machine anyway so its not a huge deal.
>games
Why would you want to play games on your computer? Get a PS5 or something
>music
Spotify just works
>flash
lmao
>webm
it even works natively in safari
>jailbreak
???
>hardware agnosticm
It runs on the best laptop available. That's enough for me
You're a silly guy. A funny guy, you bought the laptop because the logo is backlit...
I'm running the Live 11 on Arch with plasma... wow there is a icon splash screen when you want to import a file? i [email protected]#!!!! kek
>Why would you want to play games on your computer?
>Spotify
So let's just throw away all our files then? NEVER going to happen.
>lmao
Loads of great GAMES are in flash with no alternative.
>webm works natively in safari
Took them long enough.
wine works. you have to go through a convoluted process to run flash games on windows as well, so don't even try to make any excuses
>WINE
yep, open source software filling in for Mac's deficiencies as usual...
what did i say about making excuses?
Seems more like you're the one making excuses. Some of this shit is excusable. ALOT of it isn't. I'm infuriated because of how long I've been using CrapOS only to be disrespected like this. They clearly don't give a fuck about their customers anymore. IDK why. Maybe it's the pajeets they hired... I'm just moving on.
curious, what are you referring to in terms of the people they've hired?
>Spotify
>Spotify
Oops your favorite artist said a naughty, can't listen to him anymore.
That'll be $9.99+tip.
I'm surprised they still let you listen to Dixieland.
I don't, but I lost my entire music library twice to iTunes shitty sync function, so I yanked all my music off of my Apple devices and now I listen to it all on a cozy little DAP.
Being able to close the file manager.
Focus follows mouse
regex window title search
Not having to sign and verify (over the network) EVERY GOD DAMNED BINARY
An sdk that isn't a disaster.
Having the dock always visible in all monitors.
Being able to drag a window to the side and have it resize to half of the display.
Being able customize hotkeys without a shitty third party program that is slow and crashes and limited.
Having consistent basic hotkeys throughout programs (ex: pressing home and end keys in code editors work as expected, while everywhere else the jump to the start and end of page).
Being able to have zero mouse acceleration without a third party program that does a bad job at it.
Being able to compile without youtube/spotify stuttering.
Having an actual system monitor that shows actual CPU usage percentages.
Being able to alt-tab between windows of the same program without a third party program.
Moving up a directory in the file explorer in a single click.
Having a file explorer that isn't a fucking mess in general.
Being able to change volume when my headphones are connected through the monitor.
Just off the top of my head. I can't wait to quit just so I can get rid of the crapbook they gave me.
> Having the dock always visible in all monitors.
Autohide the dock then
>Being able to drag a window to the side and have it resize to half of the display.
>Being able customize hotkeys without a shitty third party program that is slow and crashes and limited.
Install a tweak so that you can do it with keyboard shortcuts. The one I use never crashes and works perfectly.
>Being able to alt-tab between windows of the same program without a third party program.
cmd + ` does exactly this, without 3rd party program
>The other ones
Yeah, it's not perfect.
>Install a tweak
The main selling point of OSX over Linux is that you don't have to do this.
I tweak and adjust all my machines, why would osx be any different.
I replaced spotlight too, because when I type in ~/downloads it tries to search the web instead of opening the fucking downloads directory.
I thought macos just werks?
Autohide is trash, literally doesn't work on secondary monitor when you have a vertical setup and the dock is on the right/left. Even when it is on bottom and it works on both monitors, the dock in the upper monitor hides too quickly before moving the cursor over it. I also don't want to autohide. Why is basic functionality that is available on turd like XFCE is not available on my crapbookpro?
Do you know of a tweak that properly switches between cmd and ctrl, makes home/end key behave consistently (move to start/end of line), and have alt+shift change keyboard layout?
>it's not perfect.
It is trash and actively harms my productivity even after a year of using it 9 hours a day. This is what happens when the userbase is a cult that will accept anything from their leaders, including bad design, bad workflow, bad functionality.
>MacOS
I'm literally moving away from that trash. Can't even use quicklook without my fans spinning up because they decided to scan all my images for "OCR." They ruined iTunes (now: "Music.app") along with a whole bunch of other utterly infuriating bullshit.
https://eclecticlight.co/2023/01/27/how-quicklook-preview-doesnt-tell-apple-about-images/
"When you press the Spacebar, QuickLook recognises you want to quickly display a preview of the file (e.g. an image), thus it starts the incredibly compute-intensive process of analysing your image for OCR."
What pajeet came up with this shit???
Just... lol. Can't wait till I'm done this this shit OS. TextEdit doesn't even work properly now LOL. LOLOLOLOLOLOL fuck this.
If you read the whole thing you'll find it also analyses the images with a neural network. Terrible for compute performance especially if you are trying to quickly go through a bunch of images. I find it lags the rest of the system.
oh right the cp thing right? it scans all your files on a regular basis for that. jesus imagine getting a hash collision like that
They claim to have stopped doing that. But there's also the unnecessary OCR scanning they started doing. It takes 1.2 seconds to complete for a small image (
)...
>claimed
*install MacOS*
*The OS is designed to presume you are a child molester*
*Your OS is already suspicious of you before you start using it*
*It starts scanning your files for evidence*
*Any evidence it finds is sent back to it's masters*
LOL. Literal trojan.
> Finally, 1.2 seconds after the start of image analysis, VisionKit reports it complete.
>TextEdit doesn't even work properly now
Works on my machine 🙂
It's a shame that almost no one uses GNUstep, is it really because people dislike Objective-C that much or is there something else wrong with it?
It never grew out of being a clone of an OS that basically nobody used, and most of the money going into open source desktop development has gone into either making an original UNIX desktop (Gnome), or a flexible UI kit for hobbyists that generally gets turned into a Windows clone (KDE).
There have been a few attempts to get it more traction, but they seem to have died off when Apple decided once again that they weren't really interested in being a desktop UNIX company, and wanted to go it alone.

fuck poojeets and fuck apple fags.
You have quite a liberal definition of ""white"".
At first I thought dude had no legs.
>all that wasted screen real estate
I'll come home once you do something against flat design.
why do you use such old version of mac os?
Have they added RadV Vulkan support yet so I can use Zink for OpenGL and DXVK for D3D?
I'd rather be homeless.
I'm a NEET, I can't afford Apple products 🙁
