They finally delivered on their shit, I should have posted this the other week lmao.
Anyways here it is.
Behold the Clockworkpi uConsole, AKA the maid phone according to some anon.

Behold the Clockworkpi uConsole, AKA the maid phone according to some anon.
Okay, what are you going to use it for?
Shitposting I guess.
It uses a compute module, so whatever you can run on any versions of that including the cm4 with an adapter.
grow up
Hey man, I ordered this shit like a year ago and since I saw those meme threads here I figured somebody would be interested to know this thing actually got made.
I guess it makes sense that you would be agitated since LULZ is now an iPhone and Windows user board.
>maidphone fag is also a G% fag
I'm not the schizo maid anon, read:
>the maid phone according to some anon.
>according to some anon.
>some anon.
AKA not me.
Oh no. You've incanted the forbidden ritual. This thread has been cursed. You fool.
Cool.
Lee doesn't check LULZ
Just keeps on getting better (better, better).
attach a modem and start messing with the phone features.Does it take a shitty SIM800 modem or something proper?
When I will receive mine, it will host a homemade inventory management client.
Pretty useful to have a very portable computer to scan all your diy warehouse shit
Does that support NFC or a camera to use barcode tagging?
I already bought a handheld wired laser scanner with USB
It works well under any linux distro
I don't want to overcomplicate it
I just want this device to be a portable client to my services to reconcile data when it has connectivity
>Industrial usage of a Maid Phone
Very cool. I wonder if anyone else has small business applications for it? I don't usually consider business, because I associate it with being a wagie (a fate worse than death), but it sounds like you own the place, so it could be fun to augment your system with Maid Technology.
How do you make money
He gets disability thanks to schizophrenia and severe autism diagnoses
This is amazing! I hope my Maid Phone comes soon. Did they give you any warning it was coming, or did it just show up?
They sent an email when it shipped, had tracking info.
>no numpad
ewaste trash
Why would a phone have a numpad?
You're a retard.
How many big numbers have you counted with it so far?
Unintelligible posts.
Sexy Clown Beast
You should bring it to mare fair
Can you actually make phone calls on it? Can you text on it?
It's possible to order it with a cellular module, there's an internal expansion port for that exact purpose.
He has a tiny neck and bulgy eyelids, ichabod crane looking fuck, no way in hell.
But he's a repairgod
Not either of you, but when this was announced I checked the modem, and it should be capable of calls, it's just a question of whether any carriers will accept it, and if the images for any particular compute module actually have drivers for the modem. Also, if you want you make calls you'll probably need something plugged into the second headphone jack on the cellular module, I don't think this is physically capable of sharing call audio with the CPU, otherwise it wouldn't need the second jack.
thanks anon
Someone should send one to hugh jeffries
Why do you hate yourself this much?
>Why do you hate yourself this much?
I posted a meme computer.
Your response is unintelligible, are you having a medical emergency?
i could see this being a decent handheld mathematica machine given you should be able to get it for free with raspberry pi. hows the keyboard
>hows the keyboard
Keyboard is better than I expected, while it is using smd dome switches, they are very clicky and feel positive, pretty good.
Pretty long, several hours of active use. It has space for two 18650 lithium cells, I've seen as large as 7000mAh total installed in it.
>several hours
Lol "several hours" is pretty terrible.
It's a rasbpi right? Those things have no power management so active use vs non-active doesn't matter.
Turn it off when not in active use.
battery life?
when did you order i ordered in march not heard anything yet, also can you test arch on there and see how good it is please
very cool
I'm not sure what I'd do with one, though
You can:
>Put it in the pocket of your Maid Apron
>Use it as a microscope for mathematics
>Write code to count big numbers
>Build a moe case for it
>Store your collection of big boob anime maids
>Post on Dr Selig's Science Foundation
>Call other maids
>Show it to people in the hopes that they turn into maids
I wish it was small enough for pants pockets
It seems like it's closer in size to a trade paperback than a phone
I saw a review where it looked like the main board and battery holder were obviously designed for a smaller enclosure, but the modem daughterboard makes the whole thing wider
I'm not a regular. What is this.
maid phone
Thanks. What's it do?
counts big numbers
Computation
What the fuck do you think it does? Make you dinner?
Radical. I bet I could compute some fucking algorithms with that shit. Very cool.
Wonder what it has in there that allows this sort of computation to occur. What ware it utilizes to achieve this. Hard or soft.
Personally I'm hard.
It is a phone for maids. I am still working on the Maid OS, but LISP is confusing and hard to use. I am starting to regret my decision to translate Dragon-Expressions into S-Expressions.
It's not too late to switch to Smalltalk!
>i cant make a lisp interpreter
FILTERED
I'm not trying to make an interpreter. I'm trying to change Dragon-Expressions into S-expressions which currently target Racket. This is my Science Foundation and nice maids in the LISP thread are helping.
Making interpreter/compiler comes next. My plan is that Dragon-Expressions get changed to S-Expressions, then S-Expressions get interpreted or compiled. This will let users have the power of LISP without having to write S-Expressions, because user writes code in Dragon-Expressions and never even sees the resulting S-Expressions, unless they activate the debugger.
S-Expressions might be nice to parse mechanically, but they are unfit for human usage due to very obtuse syntax. MAID-LISP will correct this.
>filtered by tree structures and function applications
holy shit, are you serious?
>very obtuse syntax
????
The problem isn't trees or functions. The problem is readability. S-Expressions were not meant to be used directly by people. M-Expressions were, but that syntax is ugly too, and somehow even harder to parse, so S-Expressions took over.
S-Expressions were always meant to be an Intermediate Code form, and only see direct use because John McCarthy was so bad at language design. MAID-LISP will use S-Expressions as they were intended, as an Intermediate Code form, and it will do this without making the bad language design choices that made M-Expressions look like a fetal alcohol syndrome version of Fortran.
>i am unable to solve readability issues by making a map from my custom grammar to S-expressions
OwO
>I havent even started on an interpreter
> o_O
also S-Expr have been improved... alot. Just write down your algorithms/idea in pure math on a pen and paper and translate into lisp (very easy). If you cannot do this, just do oCaml which has the syntactic sugar needed for large-scale modern programming. don't fix what isnt broken
>>i am unable to solve readability issues by making a map from my custom grammar to S-expressions
This is a good way to describe what I am doing right now. MAID-LISP Raw Code does not use S-Expressions, but it is transformed into Intermediate Code which uses S-Expressions.
>>I havent even started on an interpreter
This is half true. My plan is to finish converting MAID-LISP into S-Expressions targeting Racket, then try to reduce those to some minimal form of LISP which still runs in Racket, then write an interpreter/compiler for that.
I am starting off targeting Racket, because that makes the problem simpler by breaking it into smaller problems. I don't want to generate S-Expressions and try to interpret/compile them right now. I want to get generating them fully working, then replace Racket with something I build. Working this way makes it more obvious where a problem is located. If I generate S-Expressions that don't work, then I know the problem was with my generator and not with the LISP implementation, because Racket is solid.
Once generating them is working, then I can interpret/compile them. Trying to do both at the same time would be bad project management.
>also S-Expr have been improved... alot.
How?
>Just write down your algorithms/idea in pure math on a pen and paper
I already did this step. I built a MAID-LISP Interpreter in core Java 17, but it used an Intermediate Code that I made up and a LULZentist convinced me to use S-Expressions. Partly because even though they are horrendous for direct human usage, they're good for use inside a compiler since LISP is basically just an AST representation. Also, when someone uses my debugger, instead of seeing the Intermediate Code I made up, and having to learn a whole new thing, if they're familiar with LISP they can already read the debugger output.
>If you cannot do this, just do oCaml
I decline to use oCaml.
Thank you Dra/g/ons for reading my post.
This seems like one of those devices that I am inclined to buy and then never use.
are there any other interesting maid PCs like this? I'm getting the itch to try devving with Emacs on one of these.
The same company made a Maid Writer. I have not tried writing Computer Programs on it, but it is great for running TexWorks.
Checked the project as it seems interesting.
>claims open hardware
>only publishes shematics, no BOM, no layout no nothing on git
smells like typical for profit but open anything sounds good project
the way one should handle open hardware is tag releases in git pointing to commits for all needed code, shematics, layout, 3D files, assets and BOM.
Can you try Ctrl-x and Ctrl-c (both pressed at the same time) and tell me how tedious they feel? Do you use the thumb for both at the same time or do you prop it up and type like on a normal keyboard?
Is this maidphone thing some tranny shit?
>tranny shit
Watch less porn. The whole world doesn't revolve around your fetishes.
>grown men larping as anime girls trying to sell some shitty raspberry pi
Yeah, definitely trannies.
Are there trannies in the room with you right now?
I don't think it's tranny shit, but certainly a similar level of autism and assorted other mental illness.
>my shitpost about AVX 512 is immortalized in this picture
😀
I'm so fucking mad, I got one and still haven't found anything to do with it since I set it up, also I'm too afraid of putting it in a bag because I don't want to scratch the screen
Classic.
Make a case. Now you have something productive to do.
Get a screen protector?
Check the dimensions, it's very probable that you can get a milsurp pouch that it fits nicely into
imagine playing with toys
if you have to tell me its fun it probably isnt
show me its fun and I'll believe you
>Just get a used blackberry or something if you want a phone with a keyboard? Idk.
I also dk. I haven't had good experiences trying to do shit through an Android phone
Maybe those Auspicious Machine lads will make something that cuts out more of the bullshit
It is a phone for maids.
>useless impractical underpowered linux device that nobody will ever be seen using outside of their mother's basement, and will probably be used as a dust collector after the first 2 months MAX
lmao
Still better than anything released by Apple.
Apple products are at least practical for normie shit and browsing LULZ. This thing doesn't even have those attributes. Imagine typing on that horrible squishy rubber keyboard lmao i cant even
You pay to post here.
... only free if you don't value your time ...
you're using that phrase wrong you fucking retard lmao
is a boomer walking amogus?
>you must solve captchas daily!!!!
>you WILL not pay $1.60 a month to bypass them! otherwise i"ll get mad!!!!
O_o
>he thinks he can hide by not enabling the magic tealeaves image at the arabian floral bazaar
> he doesn't use JKCS
Imagine solving captchas OR paying lmao
solving the captcha is only free if you don't value your time
there, you happy? you needed me to fill in the blanks for you? stupid autistic brain damaged 0 iq nagger monkey retard
Go to bed, Ichabod, you've got NEET tendies to pay for when the week starts.
YHAA *CRACK*
>nobody will ever be seen using outside of their mother's basement
I use it to shitpost at work while looking productive.
>normie shit and browsing LULZ
You must be real retarded if you think the rpi cm4 along with 8 gigs of ram can't do that shit, are you having a medical emergency?
I don't care how many gigs of ram it has. It still can't do jack shit because of the horrible form factor and retarded input methods. Even a fucking macbook at least has a proper keyboard and a proper screen and a proper touchpad.
Freetard-designed hardware is ALWAYS shittier than what real manufacturers can produce. It's not even a contest.
>proper
>proper proper proper
You are a filthy normie.
>im a loser so you have to be a loser too
????
Nobody with a real job uses a fucking macbook
>google engineers almost all use macs
????
No wonder why all Google's products have gone to shit.
I wanted to get one so I can make my comfy little games in Pico-8 without any distractions but I'm worried about battery life
Nintenshit only gets like 5 hours playing Zelda, and you cant play x-rated eroge on switch like you can on the uConsole lmao.
ok cool but I really just want to use it for pico-8
what's the battery life like
>Just get a used blackberry or something if you want a phone with a keyboard? Idk.
the recent blackberries are cancer because the bootloaders aren't unlockable so they were doa. probs haven't recieved os updates since like android 10 kek
Neat, what's your order #?
I still haven't recieved mine ordered in november (#203**)
>$189
No thanks
5 inch screen why so smoll?
Once I get mine I'll use it as a portable retro gaming and Emacs machine.
EXWM + evil-mode should work nicely, do any other maids approve?
Sounds like a good use to me.
Lol I carry a portable monitor and keyboard if the task is too complicated I plug my phone which is running Linux and bang a laptop with io powered by 4nm SoC and unlimited battery since monitor keeps the phone charged
Me again. Excuse the autism I know I have.
But again
>the schematic and related design materials are released... and you can find them on our GitHub.
checked again to make sure
http://github.com/clockworkpi
nope. Another lie. There is no such thing as a layout.
