u can do whatever you want but just know I’m going to call you out for stolen valor and I will be posting it to reddit 🙂

The vast majority of people that wear these hats are annoying, haggard old farts that desperately seek attention or a discount at Applebee’s. What makes me chuckle are the old farts that wear "Cold War Veteran" baseball caps. Hey Grandpa, how was fighting in the Cold War — err, I mean, how was your rotation in Germany as a gay-ass MP?

Regardless, don’t wear this gaudy shit. ESPECIALLY if you have never served in the military.

yes. it would actually be cringe if you were in desert storm and decided to wear that hat. otherwise it is just funny and or fashion and or just a hecking hat. also heck zogbots

Even the people who don’t care about stolen valor would think it’s cringe. Obvious posturing from a kid trying to look edgy and tough. The fact that you have to ask for validation proves you’re too cowardly to wear it, let alone deal with any confrontation you get as a result of wearing it.

how about blatant stolen valor like wearing dress blues with a shit ton of medals but in a crust punk way with torn sleeves and ripped pants

Or do what Laibach did when they wore US uniforms with Nazi style armbands and altered them slightly to resemble Wehrmacht uniforms

Buy a surplus uniform of a foreign country, you get the look but the soldiers in your country won’t care because it’s not pretending to be their military

Speaking as a veteran, I wouldn’t care if you wore one or not but I know a few who would. I find it distasteful in general to wear one though.

Military service hats are just a sign of a person who’s life peaked a long time ago, and they are desperate to cling to the last vestige of a distant memory of a taste of success and relevance in life. It a pitiful plea for attention.
