Can I sell my own Cat?

Am I a moron for considering straight piping my 2020 F150 XL regular cab and selling the gay ass catalytic converter and muffler?

My reasoning is this: louder is better. Used to ride a motorcycle and it does help keep morons away. Sounds cool too. Why not sell these things and get some cash, and improve my truck also. Then in three years or whatever when I have to get it inspected, just buy the shittiest cheap muffler and cat combo and slap it back on for the inspection, then rip them back off and sell those?

What say you?

Look, zoomer, I love a good rev as much as the next guy, but making your shit obnoxiously loud just to be loud and irritating is microbrain zero-test behavior.

Get a cat back exhaust instead. Straight pipes are hard on the ears over time and have major stone.

Hell, you could even go with a full aftermarket exhaust with high flow cats, just to make sure you can be heard, enjoy your vehicle without drone, and still pass emissions. You can sell your factory cats to offset the price cost after.

So you want to remove your muffler/catalytic converter and sell it. And then buy another muffler and catalytic converter to put on your car when you need to pass inspections.
Why would you even think this was a good idea? Wouldn't it make more sense to just remove your current equipment and keep it around so you don't have to buy a new one for inspection?

If you really need money you should just sell the whole truck and next time you need to drive somewhere just buy the shittiest cheap car you can find and use that instead.

do what you want but no cat = check engine and on newer vehicles a check engine light also disables a lot of vehicle features.
when a Subaru has a check engine cruise control is disabled, for example.
