Books with Emergant Human Robot Protagonists

I really enjoy reading stories about robots learning and experiencing humanity/Interacting with humanity. Could I get some suggestions to some books that also explore this idea?

I've been looking for something to scratch this itch for a while now, and I've yet to really find what I've been looking for.

The closest thing I've found is The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.

I've read like half of them so far, they are decent, but they really fast track murderbot's familiarity and I feel the author could have explored the potential depths in exchange for somewhat confusing plot and lacking action scenes

      Klara and the Sun.

Already read that too, but that one felt more focused on Josie and Chrisy rather than Klara herself

I want to write the antithesis to this trope: humanoid AI robot is developed, sympathetic human tries to teach it to be humane, turns out the damn thing is fundamentally devoid of humanity and is a harbinger of a horrifying future, human has to kill it.

I've read the first 2 chapters, not great, it has the trappings of classic manga/anime flaws

Asimov’s robot series. Dated but still good.

I take it you’re not into scripture then either. Jesus was king of the israelites, as were all the apostles.

You should read Romans of the New Testament, instead of lying.
