China: a New History
thank you anon, on the list
Watching this in the theater was a wonderful experience. There were about a dozen exclusively white boomer couples who oohed and aahed quiestly at the appropriate moments, and the men were quietly mansplaining things to the women and the women were perfectly fine with it because all these people have been married for many years and they've matured to the point where they put up with each other's foibles.
i love seeing documentaries in theaters. i just saw Fire of Love recently and it was wonderful. haven't seen apollo 11 but that's why i have the picture saved lol
i highly highly reccomend the psycopath test 8ut especially the men who stare at goats 8y jon ronson. some truth is much stranger than fiction stuff presented 8y a true craftsman. not a 8oring chapter in either
ah, the old anon without "B" in his keyboard
added, thank you. goats was made into a movie,no?
based on what I'm reading Jon Ronson really seems to be the type I'm looking for. almost a literary werner herzog. know any other similar authors? i liked richard prestons the hot zone which is kinda similar
Get a new keyboard poorgay. You don’t even need a newfangled piece of tech just any old one will do. It still works
Gravity's Rainbow
i plan on reading more pynchon, especially gr, but i've only got lot 49 and iv under my belt. soon though
read the making of the atomic bomb.
huh, neat. i watched the atomic cafe semi recently which is tangentially related. funny doc
Excellent book.
Good rec, would read again
Non fiction?
But as a recommendation, I liked The Confident Hope of a Miracle
this seems neat, on the list
huh, a friend gave this to me a while ago, but i didn't think i would like it. i'll give it another look soon
yes, but non fiction that, i guess, isn't painfully dry like the history books i read in school. stuff that's more about the wonder of the event itself rather than the recitation of cold facts a la herzog's docs
>legit
Sir, first start by renouncing this Black person speak.
But on topic, read Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos'. And Dawkin's 'Self Gene'.
i've always wanted to learn more about science, especially physics, but i've never looked into it. i'll give these both a try, thank you anon
