Best car of 2023

Give me 1 (one) reason not to buy the new Prius next summer. How much will it cost in cucked EU do you think? Is the plug in version actually worse than a full hybrid? Afaik it's still a full hybrid but with an additional plug

You can get the original with 53 miles of EV range.

I had one. Best car in ever owned. Absolutely loved driving it. It was also in the same blue. Never needed anything. God I miss that car, taken too soon by a drunk Mexican in a rusty f-150

      First gen to be particular.

Sorry about your Volt. I've had a 2013 for for 7 years and it's been nearly flawless. If you're coming from a second gen Volt, I have a hard time believing a 2023 Prius Prime would scratch the same itch.

Maybe not but I’m interested in a test drive when they come in. Last Prius I drove I was unimpressed.

It does. First gen Volt was a weird design. I don't know why they even bothered trying to mimic the concept's beltline kek

The whole car has a bunch of styling cues from the concept that don't look as good on the shape of the production car as they did on the concept. I still think it's an overall alright looking car with a good looking front end that at least manages to not look as bland as the second gen, which imo, is the worst kind of styling sin of all.

Maybe you're blind? The new prius is closer to a Supra than any piece of shit GM ever made.

no lol please look at it in a video, don't judge by a single picture

No, I don't work at Calty.
And those anons are right, that shit is a jumble of miscellaneous styling cues from the generalize auto industry and after decades of Shityota thinking they could just bully some shitty design language on people and they'll eventually accept it- well they tried for ten years and finally have to copy other car companies with such boldfaced arrogance like the asiatics.

Speaking of supra, what's the deal with that fricking dumb hyunday that totally ripped off the front of a JZ supra??
It's just a pathetic cesspool of greedy moronic companies backed by moronic fricktards that can't stop throwing money at them, all working together to completely destroy the art of automotive engineering. Frickem

Toyota marketing strategists have been using the word "perfect" in their latest campaigns. It's so sad, how fake and contrived these employeed have to be, in order to eat.

I dont fricking care about your opinions.
200HP awd at 3300lb with 55mpg rating and a 30k price, can go 60 (lol 45) miles on electric only, It's a perfect DD.

Only the regular hybrid is getting AWD. The PHEV is FWD only. Realistically with non-hypermile driving it will probably get closer to high 30s range. It just doesn't raise the bar compared to the second gen Volt. I'd rather have its 53 miles of range and 45 MPG. EV mode is way cheaper and more pleasant to drive in than hybrid mode, even at 55 MPG. I was optimistic about the new Prius Prime, but the more I learn about it, the less impressed I am with it.

        Ok and?
I'm all for hybrid platforms, not pure EVs. Have been for decades now.
World would be a different place if hybrids were mass adopted.

The regular hybrid is just a gas car. It doesn't let you drive on just electric power.

Over here in EU we'll only get the Plug-in which sucks but I'm still considering it. On the other hand, you can get a slightly used hybrid Lexus for the same amount of money...
