I have been meditating every other day for half an hour for 2 months now. I haven't experienced anything supernatural (other than once when I experienced extreme bliss) and my life hasn't improved in any way (except that I now have better posture), but from recently I've been having a DESIRE to meditate. I continue to increase the amount of time I spend meditating, and for the last week I have been meditating for almost an hour every day. For some reason, I look forward to it every day. Does my body know something that I don't? What is the benefit of meditation that my body makes me want to continue doing it?

Your body doesn't desire that, matter of fact it is opposed to it. Your mind/intuition is guiding you to meditate.
