      I've started doing squats every night but idk how many to do.. like until it's super painful? more than that? what other exercises?? I do the trap mode anesthetics thing just cuz it targets the muscles that give you a better butt or something but idk if it'll be enough if I'm not doing cardio or whatever

        Cardio and calisthenics are good but they can only get you so far. Keep doing what you're doing but try adding weights into your routine, it doesn't have to be alot of weight- but it'll still make a big difference.
        I recommend getting a kettle bell or a heavy medicine ball.

    Lose the weight, do actual workouts and exercises with resistance (deadlifts, squats, core workouts, leg extensions, Hamstring curls) and run. Get fit with a toned body so that all the fem fat you get when you try once more to gain weight is resting on top of your fit and toned body. (Fit and toned ≠ big and muscular)

      BTW, this means you should be using a GYM. Bodyweight squats are not gonna cut it. Do barbell squats and aim for 8-12 reps, 3 sets, in addition to other exercises I mentioned.

          Hmmmmmmm I mean. You can do goblet squats with dumbbells if you feel like you HAVE TO workout at home. If you and your bf can afford it, I'd suggest buying a squat rack and buying a barbell + weights for it so you can do squats and deadlifts.
          You CAN use dumbbells but it's just not as effective, to explain simply.

            Also I will say as a troony who uses her public gym, nobody is going to stare or laugh at you. In the worst case scenario someone might try and help you fix your form if you're doing something wrong in a way you could hurt yourself. Gyms are overall very positive communities and shouldn't be something ur afraid of

            Someone correcting my form would make me uncomfortable just like being touched or seen in workout clothes outside of my home or having people hear my grunts and potentially not passing
            gyms are probably better for everything but telling the people here to just go to the gym is letting the perfect be the enemy of the good. just barbells/bands/ankle weights are probably more realistic options for op. Also there are a lot of much more effective exercises for your glutes than squats.

            im working on my body still. I need to gain weight despite being 140lbs at 5'8 I still like emaciated from the hips up but ces la vie my ass is big enough and I have a great core.
            also like i can dress around my body kind of in normal life but there's nothing I can workout it that won't make my body look super weird at this point

            yeah I mean you can wear a compression shirt with a light tee over it like another anon said and then workout shorts, so there's options. that's prob what I'll do lol

            and like yeah I want a bigger butt, but I need to work out my gluteus medius mainly rn and then just gain weight bc its firm and round and big enough alright but I just have like so little fat anymore. 140lbs and my body looks so fricking weird and thin.
            my posture has gotten better and my abs are nice but they will get better (they were too big for my liking for a while).
            Im genuinely kinda worried that im going to frick up my body somehow because I refuse to be or out my upper body and make my shoulders ant bigger than they are with my weird fricking bigass front delts and arms that are way too strong for 0 use.

            I think you should work out your upper body so you don't look super imbalanced, if you focus just on your butt and don't have enough fat on it, you'll look super weird and scrawny up top and then good down below. it's not a good look imo

            you look good tbh. I wish I had your body cuz thats a solid base. I do think you would benefit from gaining weight, and like I said, worming out upper body more. other than that 10/10 I'm super jelly.

            your butt is so round, like that's what I want. as I've said a dozen times in this thread, mine is super flabby, and you can tell in the pic I posted. it makes me sad, especially cuz I work so hard to keep my skin nice but stupid flabbiness fricks it all up.

            idk a compression shirt would just make my boobs look smaller, Ive been fulltime for years I can't present male well.
            the upper body thing is just scary because I already have like a 17inch bidelt and a 30 inch underbust and weird fricking delts and if It gets any bigger or wider it will make my lower body look even weirder and smaller by comparison.
            Also btw, leg lifsts, hip abductions, donkey kicks, fire hydrants, and lunges are my main squeezes for glutes. ankle weights help me.
            Tryna gain weight:) pretty much this whole year and a lot of last year ive been trying, I had a panic attack bc I had to eat at thanksgiving though and now adderall is making it harder but Ill fix it
            just look weird for a 21+ bmi. weirdly thin.

            I understand the fear of putting on muscle there, it is scary. same for me with letting on weight. it kinda made me look very little pf balance and top heavy, sadly. having big shoulders is balls. your shoulders don't really look big to me tho.. and you definitely don't look like a 21 or over bmi. I'm a 21.1 and I think I look like it, but you look like a 19 at most. even when I was an 18< bmi I didn't look as skinny as you. guess it goes to show how inaccurate bmi can be idk.

            I really hope you can get better at eating cuz I do get that. I mentioned I've had an eating disorder and it's made it so hard to not feel shifty with where I'm at rn, and my gut instinct has been ti starve myself (which I've been doing on and off :/ ) even tho ik it won't help me look much better.

            there have been times recently where I did not look this skinny at the same weight. I think its just bodyfat percentage from recomping or something
            like here, two years ago same weight not as skinny (I miss looking that young i wish i could go back and not ever do coke)

            yeah starving yourself is really, really hard to get out of. you obsess over the calories, or you just don't eat at all. you obsess over the stupid number on the scale and the fricking dumb little number controls your mood for the rest of the day after weighing yourself. you have to deal with people commenting on your appearance or your changes, all unwarranted, and just generally making you feel like shit and asking too many questions. it all piles on top of how ugly you feel you look and it makes you feel miserable and worthless. I struggle with it every day and I've been struggling with it since I was in middle school. I didn't expect this to be a lifelong issue but I guess it is.

            I literally had a friend tell me I looked healthy a couple months ago and it made me spiral because that just feels like a roundabout way of saying I look fat. I hate this part of me but it is what it is, ig

            ur probably gonna have to gain weight in the form of muscle if you wanna look proper fit. Don't be afraid of the number.
            That was my hang up for ages. I used to starve myself to get my weight down, but I still didn't like the way I looked. I try to just focus on lifting regularly and not sweat the little details.

            I've struggled with an eating disorder for most of my life so I do obsess over that stupid number often

            I wanna focus on working out and eating correctly instead of constantly being afraid the number is too high, I wanna actually improve my body and get stuff done yk

            I'm not afraid of gaining weight, I just want to look good and I'll put the work in to do it.

            try some big weights then- barbells aren't that expensive. You can get a whole bench for like 250-300+$. It's addicting. Just try to find a rhythm you're comfy with.

            ye I've notice when I've tried to do body weight workouts that it was a lot harder to target the muscle groups I wanted, especially doing the workouts on carpet (shit hurted) which caused me to shift around and do horrible with the exercises. and then a lot of the body weight exercises just.. weren't a lot. they felt easy sometimes, and when they felt hard I felt like I should be doing a lot more, and when I did more I still didn't feel like I was making reasonable progress cuz of the lack of consistency with each rep.

            For real tho If you really want to do it. You have to go out of your way to make it happen- and thats never easy. Losing weight can be fun, but its also hard. I lost almost 100 lbs on my own, but it was tough and I still have a ways to go before I'll be really satisfied.

            well, the thing with me losing weight is that I'm not overweight or anything. I was just below underweight before, now I'm just a normal weight. if I lost 20 lbs again id be at the edge of being underweight again, which isn't my goal. realistically I wanna lose 10-15 lbs but my main goal is to just look good, yk.
