What’s the deal with beard transplants? Why are they not more popular?
Facial hair is like makeup for guys. Stubble/beards with perfect density make any guy look much better provided the facial hair does not look unkempt.
Beard transplants should be cheaper than conventional hair transplants since they typically use a lot less grafts. They also do not require you to be on any tranny drugs since facial hair responds very well to androgens.
So what the heck is it? Can they leave noticeable scars which could be a problem if you decide to be clean-shaven?

depends on the surgeon, but hair from the back of the head can be used and also hair from under the chin. supposedly the latter is less common which is weird since the texture and color would be more similar

bro, a moustache takes like a year to get thick because most of it is really slow growing tiny hairs.
you just have to keep trimming the few fast growing hairs until all the others catch up and fill it in
this same concept applies to facial hair in the cheek areas if you’re planning to grow a beard.
i was depressed at first because my beard lacked density, but as i kept trimming it, the rest of the slower growing hairs caught up and now I have a pretty decent beard.

What length did you trim it to? I never let my beard grow for longer than a month and half before shaving it out of shame. I have good coverage everywhere except for cheeks.

Today for the first time in my life, I clocked a guy with a beard transplant at work. The lines were just too unnaturally straight. Didn’t look terrible, just like he spent a strange amount of time sculpting it

Yeah I wasn’t 100% certain but it looked robotically done. It was also fairly short and in the exact style of the other examples in this thread of transplanting. Only thing is I’m a femanon though so I don’t have face shaving experience (or really looking at them closely), only reason I’m not certain
robots are the surgeons of the future so…
they just need to learn how to break out of that rectilinear grid formation
unless they wear make up or their skin color matches the beard you will still see a shadow in the shaved areas

mine improved after 35, I still cant grow a decent beard but definitely more thick than when I was in my 20s.

Beard transplants look artificial and leave you with less hair in case you get male pattern baldness, it’s better to go with minoxidil if your beard growth sucks.

Yeah, that’s why minoxidil works. It allows the DHT to take effect more quickly in the beard follicles.
I’ve been using minoxidil for a year and the hairless area I’m focusing it on still hasn’t filled out at all

If it’s not alopecia areata (idk if there’s a cure for that) you might just have to give it more time naturally. One of my friends who turned 26 started getting good coverage on his cheeks this year. Beard growth kicks in at different rates.
I have a beard otherwise (though it looks like shit because the hair grows in different directions if that makes sense, it’s not straight) so I don’t think it’s alopecia areata
In my experience you have to find a length and style that works and accentuates your face.

I’m in my 30s and still don’t have good cheek density, but I’d take thst over getting cosmetic surgery like some sort of insecure soi shitter. It’s wierd because my moustache and chin are so dense and fast growing but I guess it’s just genetics.

same here. The trick is to trim the stache/chin areas a little shorter than the cheeks.
when I trim my beard, I use a 7mm guard on the stache/chin and a 10mm on the cheek areas.
Head and bodyhair are different from beard so unless you literally have zero beard hair it looks mega fake and gay, also having a full beard already isn’t uncommon enough to expand this industry.
