What do? This mean I have decent chances to pass as a man when I troon out?

Ehhh that'd be a death nail on a more feminine afab. But with my masculine leaning face, hairline and shape I think I might have a chance to dwarf mode. Gotta hold out on getting a beard.

Being short doesn't stop you from passing, this board is just full of tranners from the incel pipeline who think there's nothing worse than life as a short man. Just don't let it ruin your confidence and nobody will care.

I understand you mean well but it is shitty to be a short or petite man. You get less if any respect. You can't fulfill some duties expected of you. It'll be harder to date due to the dating market being shallow as if is. Because you'll be inherently less attractive to women and gay men because height does factor a lot in male attractiveness. What's more that'll probably impact your job opportunities as taller and more attractive men will be more likely to be picked especially for labor.

Reality is it's awful to be a short man. And that's the main thing I don't look forward to when I transition. Even if I pass.

It hasn't affected my life negatively at all. I'm respected at work, and I've gotten promoted faster than my coworkers have. I work in tech so I guess strength/height isn't an issue there. I've had no problem getting girlfriends, my current one is taller than me. Don't know about gays, I don't date them.

If life sucks for you as a short man it's not because of your height, it's because of you. Nobody likes a loser who constantly feels sorry for himself.

Feeling sorry for yourself comes with the dysphoria package, doesn't it? Kinda what dysphoria makes you do. Feel sorry you couldn't be born your target gender. And mourning the you, you could never achieve

That's what transitioning is for. If you're doomed not to pass after years of actual effort, I get feeling sorry for yourself, I'd feel sorry for you too. But if you transition and pass, and spend your days seething over a few inches, that's just pathetic.

I already explained how those few inches are significant even to cis men.

You're one of the lucky ones to have an ounce of respect or pity. But many short men aren't so fortunate.

There's nothing lucky about not having an insufferable personality

You just seem apathetic about men who struggle due to their height. That because you have fortune you can't see it from someone else's shoes. Just because you got lucky doesn't invalidate the experiences of men who suffered misfortune because of their height.

Not having arms or legs hasn't affected my life negatively at all. I can do everything that people with limbs can do. I have a loving wife and kids, and everyone respects me.

If life sucks for you because you have no arms or legs, it's because of you. Nobody likes a loser who constantly feels sorry for himself.

A man without arms or legs has a better life than you, and your only problem is being 5'5. Sad.

I know a 5'0 pooner irl with a great beard and he does pass, but it's hard to take him seriously. He has the troony voice too. I subconsciously think of him as a pooner more than a man. Unlike the taller passing guys I know.

Exactly. It's already difficult to gain respect as an average man. But as a short man you're playing the game on hell mode.

I’m 4’9” and I managed to avoid rabid poonface but I get carded everywhere. Don’t know what’s going to happen when I can’t 12yoboymode anymore

You'll probably have a better time by then. Trans men have a similar experience to cis men that our younger years can be awkward. But it gets better as we grow older.

            Anonymous

Yeah except the plausible deniability of being short because I’m young won’t be there anymore, and even with a 100% passing face I will look short and now everyone knows about trannies they will know I’m a poon

Short cis men still exist. Look at Danny Devito. So if you work hard on passing otherwise they might overlook that.

Honestly 4'9 is pretty unusual whether you're a man or a woman. People will probably just assume you had some developmental issue. I went to school with a guy who was like 4'6, even though I'm a pooner I never assumed he was one

I already look like a spitting image of my dad and I'm a pre everything pooner with a 7 step Korean skincare routine.

If/when I troon out I'll definitely pass, but I'll be a manlet cause I'm 5"5 so why bother
