According to one study only about 1/3 of people who identify as trans transition medically so it's closer to 1/600 for someone who medically transitions and 1/1200 for either specific gender.

This. Im technically 'completely bisexual' according the Kinsey scale and yet I would consider myself 99% gay. I can (and have) fuck women, but I dont think if I was to be hooked up to a penile measurement it would say I was bi, but rather gay.

The biggest problem with the Kinsey scale is that you need to have a certain threshold of homosexual tendency in order to break over the social barrier where you actually are willing to engage in homosexual behavior or come out. Someone who is 10% homosexual will not have 10% of their partners be same sex. They'll just live their whole lives as straight because it's easier.
And because the opportunity to fulfill that homosexual desire is rare
They have to find someone who is near enough to have a relationship with, who is gay, and who fits their very strict desires
I think it doesn't become truly feasible to be homosexual until 30-40%
