    >Where do you think it is?

    It's in heaven. Revelation 11:19:
    > And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple.

You might also read the next verse, Revelation 12:1, keeping in mind that there was no verse numbering nor chapter breaks when the sacred author wrote the original manuscript.

Seized in the Babylonian conquest of Judea, maybe displayed for a while as a trophy, maybe stripped of its israeliteels and left to rot. Almost certainly no longer exists, was made of wood not of magic.

The Ethiopian claim is woowoo bullshit just like 90% of the rest of Ethiopian Orthodoxy.

The Ark of the Covenant literally doesn't exist anymore; Mary was the new Ark of the Covenant.

          KJV 1 Samuel 4
          >Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods?
          >these are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.
          "Gods work in mysterious ways."

        Eh, not quite.

When the ark was captured by the Philistines, outbreaks of tumors and disease afflicted them, forcing the Philistines to return the ark to the Israelites.

        > The Lord’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod and its vicinity; he brought devastation on them and afflicted them with tumors.
        >When the people of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said, “The ark of the god of Israel must not stay here with us, because his hand is heavy on us and on Dagon our god.”...
        >But after they had moved it, the Lord’s hand was against that city, throwing it into a great panic. He afflicted the people of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors.
        >So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. As the ark of God was entering Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out, “They have brought the ark of the god of Israel around to us to kill us and our people.”
        >So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and said, “Send the ark of the god of Israel away; let it go back to its own place, or it will kill us and our people.” For death had filled the city with panic; God’s hand was very heavy on it.
        >Those who did not die were afflicted with tumors, and the outcry of the city went up to heaven.
        1 Samuel 5:6-7, 9-12.

        >innocent man touches it on his carriage to prevent it from falling
        >killed

The ark was equipped with poles to be carried on the shoulders of the Levites. And, while carrying the holy things, God clearly warned the Levites that “they shall not touch any holy thing, **lest they die**” (Numbers 4:15).

Thus the circumstances of Uzzah, a member of the covenant committee in a position of responsibility who had been warned is quite different than that of the Philistines who captured the Ark.

The one they used to have to carry around probably got melted down or maybe it sits in Jesus’ house in heaven somewhere as a decoration.
