depends entirely on the weather and time of day, but on some occasion I'll do both if I want to enjoy cold air but have the window down. for most of the summer I'll be AC up
>Why does this freak out boomers so much?
It's a flawed, non-thought through idea that is carried over bc they spend every waking moment of their life stressing about the individual consumption of each light bulb and every moment of air conditioning. My grandparents in Florida spend all their time with the blinds closed in almost complete darkness with their A/C set to 77. Boomers are essentially on autopilot at all times and are incapable of the self awareness to question their own actions.
>they spend every waking moment of their life stressing about the individual consumption of each light bulb and every moment of air conditioning.
Weird, all the boomers I've interacted with cannot think beyond their immediate comfort or consider stuff like energy cost or duty cycles.
for me growing up i always associated AC with cooling so i had a habit of not using it in the cold, till i learned how AC actually worked and found out that it would defrost windows even quicker than just heat alone
They are stupid. They can't understand that its different running the car HVAC than having a space heater and window ac running in the same room of the house
this. i drive with windows down anytime i can. i will throw on heat or AC to stay comfy. only in inclement weather, or high humidity to I roll up my windows
Depends on the weather and speed. If I'm going under 40mph, I have the windows down and my arm hanging down the door. If I'm on the highway they're up with rhe AC on. Obviously they're up if it's raining.
Hope this helps
>never hanging my arm out the window like a black
This. Let them lose their gorilla hands in a crash. In modern cars you have an even better chance of losing your hand as it can get trapped by the side curtain airbag.
Windows down.
Mostly because I'm bad with a manual and the RPMs drop too fast on my old shitbox if I have the AC on. It screws up my timing completely.
>AC up.
This. I never open my car windows unless there is some important reason.
I prefer to have cleaner air and interior in my car. Opening the windows causes more dirtier air, insects, noise etc.. to come into the car.
my car has a/c but i never use it. maybe if i am on the highway and its extremely windy and i dont want to get blown around. aside from that, its windows down only. i cant afford all the extra fuel
AC on. windows down doesnt do shit in arizona. I've measured the mileage, windows down is negligible, but AC on has significant drag on the engine, enough to feel. I flip the AC off for speed boost.
A/C is a parasitic drag on the system. I don't give a damn how hot it is out, if I see you driving around with windows up A/C on you ain't a car guy. Simple as
Only exception is if your lady just got a new hair do and is also in the car with you
depends entirely on the weather and time of day, but on some occasion I'll do both if I want to enjoy cold air but have the window down. for most of the summer I'll be AC up
for me, it depends on the car and almost entirely the feeling.
Both at the same time. Sometimes I even turn the heat on with the ac still engaged
T. Based
The correct answer
Every single car ever made does this if you have the temperature set to anything warmer than max cold, due to the way blend doors work
>Both at the same time.
Why does this freak out boomers so much? My dad acts like the car will spontaneously combust when I do this
>My dad acts like the car will spontaneously combust
It unironically could
No cuz I don't drive a Tesla

I don't use the AC unless it's pushing high 30s, 110ish in disability speak
My ac is always on and the windows are always up except when im diagnosing something or im parked idling
Its either
Windows all down, not caring about temperature, loud music blasting driving like a mental case or
Windows all up, driving under the speed limit, temperature set perfectly to 22
There is no in between
What cars made today even still let you do this? All the windows come up to my chin now
