Well can you recommend a similar quality everyday sneaker that looks good too?

      no

Get a nice leather boot. Last longer. Look presentable for longer.

Yes I need some everyday sneakers though, so you really wear boots just to go out for smokes or taco bell?

New balance 990 Is not worth it because the market for them is inflated. They’re popular. they use to be $180. Which is still steep considering it’s just plastic. I’d look into Asics, which are pretty comfortable.

not made in America, not leather, and nowhere near the streetwear rep, 990s are worth it imo,

I actually hate the 990v5s tbh and they dont fit me properly so I have to buy v4 for resale

and yeah it is overpriced but they actually are the only model that actually fit my feet comfortably

My point is that I dont think they are a terrible deal at $300 even if a little overpriced

Theyre a great everyday shoe, go with every outfit imaginable, top quality materials, and classic silhouette, streetwear clout

            >top quality materials
It’s plastic and suede. They’re just better than slave labor Nike shitters. I will admit that they look good though and are very versatile.

How do you feel about the retro release in my op pic with the red accents versus the original with no accents?

The originals are about $150 more resale, I actually dont mind it though I think its a nice touch.

I think the retros give it a little more character but the originals are cleaner. I wouldn’t pay $150 more for the original though.

the pigskin versions are actually indestructible tbh

I regret donating my old pair to goodwill so bad tbh but at that point they were pretty dirty and couldnt be arsed to clean

I’ve heard their of good quality and comfortable but they look like a they’re a b***h to clean. Do they have a decent heel counter? My heel always eats cheap sneaker lining up.

Yeah I didnt even bother cleaning still wish I had kept them for walks with my dog or some shit like that

and yes, the full pigskin suede I wore almost eveyday in all conditions for like a year, and was rough on them too, and they held up 100%, only problems were sole lost cushion and that about it, easily the most well built mass produced sneakers on the market

not sure about the durability for the nylon / suede version, I imagine they are less durable then full suede but not too much worse, should still easily hold up to a year minimum of daily use
