Are suzuki cars reliable like other japanese cars? I never hear anything about them but that could be because this is mostly an american board and suzuki isnt sold in the us

yep
Yes they are reliable. Cheap to buy*, cheap, parts, cheap maintenance, cheap interiors etc. Just don't fall for their GLX options and the SX4 model line. They are way too expensive for what they are.
> I never hear anything about them but that could be because this is mostly an american board
People cream their pants for the jimny here in a semi-regular basis.
are the auto trannies reliable? i notice they only offer 4 speed autos or CVTs. i dont want a cvt but 4 speed seems pretty fucking bad for a new car in 2023
pretty sure they are 6 speed autos. And they are fine. Their cvts sucks, but hey, any cvt tranny would suck.
Used to have a 1993 Escudo and that thing worked great. Worked it like a little truck with up to 945 lbs of cement in it at times, before my 180lbs self stepped in.
The only problems I had with it was lack of maintenance on the transmission and the condenser fan was stuck so when my wife used it she always had a/c on and going up long hills it would boil over and she being a woman insisted on leaving the a/c on rather than turning it off despite it blowing hot. By time I figured out what was happening I had already done the head once myself and had a mechanic do it the second time but it was too far gone when ready for the third time. She was born a blonde.
I've had two Swifts. They're reliable but rusty.
No. Stay away from Suzuki anything. They have terrible quality control and most of them are falling apart after a couple years.
scotty said they are the worst japanese vehicles
explains why someone I know started shipping out about them
Dunno about that with nissan and mitsubishi stil monkeying around.
Suzuki makes the most un-pretentious cars one can make. A box with wheels and a pretty decent AWD. Because suzuki knows that the roads in the countries it sells suck ass hard.
>scotty said they are the worst japanese vehicles
Scotty is a hack
because scotty is retarded and so is Suzuki America because of how many shitboxes they sold that weren't even actual Suzukis but rebadged daewoos or some other crap
probably couldn't bring the jimny or hustler over because of retarded CAFE laws and americans being too fat, same goes for the swift 2bh
nah, track duty is harsh as hell, the burgerkingring unusually so, the car doing that much work and only needing a handful of parts is really impressive
The cars Suzuki makes are OK, so are the rebadged Toyota's, of course. The rebadged Daewoos should be avoided at all costs.
buy
suzuki
Suzuki-chan owes me sex
Had a suzuki equator for a bit. It was a good truck. Kind of wish I didn't sell it, but I needed to downsize for a year. Now I have an 04 F-150 standard cab, which is honestly better at actual truck stuff (hauling, towing, etc.), but the crew cab on the Equator was comfy.
>suzuki equator
thats a rebadged nissan
Well I liked it and the only non-motorcycle from suzuki I've owned
They are very reliable yes, I was thinking of buying a new swift sport but it costs 25k€ here, same price as a polo gti. It used to cost 18k€ until they introduced the mild hybrid system.
The euro emissions standard has absolutely ruined the market.
>Are suzuki cars reliable like other japanese cars?
kek was not expecting that gearbox oil change number
Any car could do this with proper maintenance
any geo metro you can still buy has around 300k miles on it, H25/H27 are excellent engines, i think the 2.0 dohc had some issues but they're pretty under rated
Suzuki chads, anyone know what differences there are between the M16A engine in the ZC31 and the ZC32? one makes 125hp and one makes 136. Just software? Mechanical components?
ZC31s owner here.
The M16A on the 31 comes with forged pistons which were ditched in the 32, so it's actually better. The extra horsepower comes from somewhere else, I honestly can't remember the details.
Ayyy that's cool. Shame these little machines are a little tricky to find info on compared to other machines
>pic related, my ZC31 half an hour ago
>260ks, AUD
Thoughts? Just want a run around to last a year or so
I've driven them in nz at 350-400k and they were fine, but with any second-hand car, it'll really depend on how it was looked after. If you're that concerned, have a mechanic look over it before you buy. It's a swift sport so it'll probably be fine (so long as it wasn't owned by a woman or soigoy)
NOPE, hold your horses
That doesn't look like a Sport, that looks like a normal, tuned up Swift.
as time has gone on, I've found Suzuki to be the only manufacturer to even somewhat remain un-ruined
>Honda constantly want to go upmarket, barely relevant anymore
>Mitsubishi/Nissan raped by French monkeys
>Subaru irrelevant for almost 2 decades
>Mazda 487535675 models of SUV and cuckover
>Toyota huffing own farts and jacking price
meanwhile Suzuki just remains as they always did, making cheap cars that work fairly well. Daihatsu are good too, ignoring their overlords
a common problem seems to be losing left and right movement in your manual transmission gear shifter, so you can only drive 3rd and 4th
it took almost 10 years for my car to get to that point though
