      >Able to provide for oneself without the help of others; independent

Sounds like a paradox. What are others or a community when humans can be looked at as a community, life another, or particles.

        Define provide and others.

They haven't died from natural disasters or inbreeding. Pretty impressive considering

Inbreeding is less dangerous than we are led to believe. Although that's not very relevant to the discussion here, but small inbred communities are basically the norm throughout our history whether as hunter gatherers or farmer/pastoralists.
Only with the modern explosion in population size has it become considered a problem.

No such thing. Even if we limit it to our body, its a host of trillions of different microorganisms working together. With the help of earth/sun for energy.

Versions of picrel have already existed across the world without the futuristic flair. There were even countries and kingdoms that were fully self sufficient. China pre-opium wars being the most famous example of a large-scale, fully self sufficient kingdom

It's not so much about whether it's possible, it's more about what level of complexity can be achieved in a self sufficient community.
The depends on the local resources (think about all the various martials used in the products we have), including energy resources, as well as population size. Together, they determine the number of specialists possible to create various products and services.
