I actually bought the Gillette safety razor about a month ago. I didn’t know they made safety razors before I saw it at my local Walmart. I definitely prefer the weight it has in the hand. Gives a real sense of balance.
Of course they are, better for the skin, more efficient and a hell lot cheaper, I buy 200 blades for 15$ on Amazon. The only drawback is that it take more time to save and you can cut yourself a lot if you rush
Disposable razors are fast because they have more than 1 blade and have a fixed head so it’s stupid proof. You can shave fast with a DE, just depends on technique but it’s not hard.
If you love to consoom, they are not cheaper, because you’ll buy ten different shaving soaps, ten aftershaves and a few razors also. Blades themselves are cheaper and better than modern G*llette cartridge shit (ironic because G*illette came up with disposable blades in the first place).
They are great if you can find the right combination of razor, blade and cream, but that isn’t so easy and takes a lot of trial and error.
>watch safety razor shaving tutorials on youtube before trying it for the first time. >stay relatively cheap on your first razor. Between $50 and $75 dollars. Learn how to use it first before trying more expensive or exotic versions. A great starter razor is a Rockwell 6c with multiple heads: https://getrockwell.com/products/rockwell-6c-razor >buy the sample blade packs off Amazon and just test blades until you find one that feels good on your specific hair and doesn’t bleed you out. >learn to do a proper pre-shave routine. Hot water, exfoliate, pre-shave cream, etc. >figure out the correct type of after-shave for your skin type, either alcohol based or non-alcohol lotion based.
you get what you pay for dumbass
it’s not consooming if youre buying things that actually have a use and qualitative difference to the cheap chinese options
We didn’t evolve to run sharp blades across our face everyday stupid.

Men have thicker skin than women, your skin should be able to withstand a light sharp blade
But I get it, you don’t want to break out and bleed to death while trying to shave your 3 chin hairs

Having thicker skin than women has nothing to do with sharp blades cutting your skin. You know as well as I do that if that blade isn’t used right, it can cut you the heck up. I’m not the gay anon that spends 3 hours shaving and still comes out looking like Freddy Krueger. I was just making a point.

>Just buy a cheap razor, cheap blades, and cheap shaving cream
And that’s how cheap stupids heck up their face, bleed themselves dry then go complain on the internet about how "RAZOR SHAVING IS AWFUL AND A WASTE OF TIME"
You get the quality of shave that you pay for.
High quality razors from top brands cost 8-20 cents each. Even if you’re spending 20 cents for a quality blade, that’s really not expensive. There’s no reason the cheap out.

They’re a lot cheaper than that.
ah I see, but there seems to be no reason to buy the name brand razor in this case, but the one I posted is actually Made in India so I would consider it superior to chink shit or Made in America shit.

You can go to the the dollar store and pick one up for 8 bucks.
>bought one off amazon for like $10 4 years ago >bought a 50 blade pack of feathers around the same time for $15
haven’t spent money on shaving equipment ever since
I use a Merkur razor and Parker blades, with Taylor’s of Old Bond Street for my shaving cream. You can go even cheaper than that, but that’s top of the line stuff and will only set you back <$50 for everything. Razor+blades+cream is all you really need, but having a badger brush and lathering bowl is nice if you don’t mind dropping a few dozen extra dollars.
Both. I just don’t like getting strip slime all over my face and/or getting cut 20 times each shave with disposables.
Straight razors >>>>
Nobody actually uses those
I actually bought the Gillette safety razor about a month ago. I didn’t know they made safety razors before I saw it at my local Walmart. I definitely prefer the weight it has in the hand. Gives a real sense of balance.
>I didn’t know they made safety razors
they actually invented the safety razor, but became too greedy
gay razor
>or are they just more affordable?
Are they??
Yes
>Yes
Prove it, you gay!!!!
Stop being lazy OP, look up razors yourself, you incapable heck.
They’re costly initially but the razor blades are pretty inexpensive.
They’re shit and for turbo hipsters but they are inexpensive in the long wrong.
Just got one for less than $5. They are cheaper than modern ones and last forever. Great deal
I got mine while in my birkenstocks zero waste lifestyle IG phase
Of course they are, better for the skin, more efficient and a hell lot cheaper, I buy 200 blades for 15$ on Amazon. The only drawback is that it take more time to save and you can cut yourself a lot if you rush
Is shaving with disposable faster? What are you comparing it to?
Disposable razors are fast because they have more than 1 blade and have a fixed head so it’s stupid proof. You can shave fast with a DE, just depends on technique but it’s not hard.
they’re for diaper fetishists and nanny state supporters

>ten different shaving soaps, ten aftershaves and a few razors
>not taking the dry shave pill
ngmi
>If you love to consoom
then you’ll waste money on anything and it has nothing to do with shaving
No. Gillette Blue 2 on a Blu handle 3 or a Sensor Excel handle is the best option.
Blue 2 has a non-floating handle, but super cheap. So just switch the handle.
>Blu handle 3
*blue 3 handle
>Buying Gillette
I’ve noticed closer shaves and less razor burn than I got with a regular razor.
because the blades are sharper
Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Personally, my beard grows slower than most and comes in patchy, I like to approach shaving with a slow ritualistic process.
I keep disposables for emergencies.
cheaper, better shave, better for the environment,
Disposable-fags just want more plastics in the environment.
Use electric so you can dry shave.

I watched all that, then I ignored it and just got shaving cream and shaved.
hecking consoomer, literally r*ddit tier
Just buy a cheap razor, cheap blades, and cheap shaving cream

Maybe if you weren’t a genelet with shit-tier skin you wouldn’t have to pay more to get a smooth, close shave

https://www.amazon.in/Hajamat-Double-Edge-Safety-Razor/dp/B08574DN6S/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=Safety+Razor&sr=8-8
You can get one for 5$ even in the US. I was just posting a known brand so no one complains about chink shit.

alright reddit, I got a 25€ Merkur razor, Astra blades and proraso cream. So 35€ or less and it works perfect, best shaves ever
Zoomers can’t spend more than five minutes for any given task. It ain’t bussin fr no cap
Just get a baili 3 piece razor. it’s like 10 dollars.
>bought one off amazon for like $10 4 years ago
>bought a 50 blade pack of feathers around the same time for $15

I started using my Astra blades only once because I want to try new blades. Still around 50 to go after one year…
basically same but i go thru blades faster. still, a 20 pack of blades lasts me like a year
My electric trimmer is starting to give me red and flakey patches under my nose. Idk why, do you think the blade is dull?
Probably.
you have seborrheic dermatitis and candidiasis
forgot image
I also have an impression that they last much longer than the normal ones

It’s better is nearly every way other than traveling and ease of use.
