There's a spectrum in between those two for Indians who moved to America at some point in their childhood. It's important to always figure out how much time the Indian you're talking about has spent in India so you can predict how retarded they'll be.

When he wasn't even able to -open- the program we were working in that day I realized what he had been doing and instead just kept insisting he look at the instructions and ask the TA and/or prof for help and he got this deer in the headlights sort of expression before moving onto blackmailing me by saying he'll claim I was doing/saying things to make him fail.
Luckily I was rescued by the prof because I immediately stood up mid-lecture, walked right up to the prof and quietly informed him that I was being threatened/blackmailed by the student.
He immediately ended the lecture and sat us both down in his office where he asked the student what I was talking about and the guy feigned ignorance and pretended his English was even worse than usual so the prof let him go. When it was just me and the prof he was like yeah no we already know he's retarded because his work the previous year was perfect but now all he does in every class is sit there doing nothing but his homework is still somehow literal perfection.
Unfortunately he transferred to a bigger school that had more people in its equivalent program and I saw his name on linkedin a few years later. Mercifully he keeps getting jobs at places clearly already on their way out the door for whatever reason but I have no doubt that he only accelerates their demise.

They suck up to their boss and always say yes to requests even if the request is unreasonable, however this works in their favor because boss sees them as go getters, even though they always have to come up with excuses as to why what they're working on isn't done.
Pajeet on my company took almost two years to stitch together something that would take more than a week of running to complete a task.
Decided to make my own version, in about 30 minute of work i wrote something that would do 95% of his thing in about a minute, could have went all the way to 100% and above with an extra hour of work and it would have taken about the same time to run.
He somehow made it such that the workload was cpu bound when it should be i/o bound.
Told it to my manager and he said to me "i know, i also did that once but we are not rewriting that we got more urgent priorities".
He also talked to me a few times about his code being bad and that he want me to replace him in the long run.
I legit don't understand why he is still here after seeing some of his backward spaghetti code.

I had to tell my boss within 2 weeks that literally every project was a full rewrite because none of it was maintainable. We're talking an entire piece of software written in one gigantic busyloop 5000 lines of code vomit sort of shit littered with magic numbers and variable names like "x" together with quadruple indexing in at some points. It wasn't just bad, it was the sort of thing I'd write as a joke on LULZ and larp as a moron with. It was quite literally comical how absurdly bad this shit was. Also there was 0 version control beyond main.py main2.py mainfinal.py
In my experience these people aren't just bad, but they are actively worse than having no one at all.

Holy fuck this. I don't know what is it about them and version control. I worked with a guy, just the 2 of us, and he would spawn a dozen different versions to try out his wild ideas. No git or anything. When it came to integration he would mail me the code with hard coded dependency paths I had to pick through.
From 1999-2017. I used to work in tech doing sales. I started off with a small mom and pop software studio based in NYC. Our main business was the creation of highly customized software packages and solutions for institutional clients. Banks, Universities, Hospitals, Etc.
I was good at getting my foot into the door and socializing with clients. I didn't know the first thing about software(still dont). So I would bring along a nerd. Who would go and hammer things out with the clients own nerd. While me and the client would go have a good time. When the nerd got back to the office he'd design whatever the client really needed. And we'd sell it to them plus a multi year long maintenance contract. Which I made a commission on. I told the nerds that I do not want to be bothered by the clients. I want the shit to work. And it worked. Very well I might add. I only ever got two phone calls in the middle of the night from angry clients because their software fucked up.
Then in 2010. We got bought out by a larger multi billion dollar competitor. Very quickly things changed. They fired almost everyone from sales. Except me and a few other guys, because we had different arrangements that it was cheaper for them to honor than to pay us out. The new corporate overlord fired half the developers and replaced them with stupid fucking indians. Indians are maliciously retarded. They fucked everything up. Not only did they mess with code and ruin generations of our product. They needlessly messed with the clients current software which resulted in a lot of angry phone calls to me in the middle of the night. I lost so many accounts because of Indian stupidity. I was making commission on those decade long contracts. It really hurt my bottom line. When I confronted the Indians they either fainted ignorance or said that they made things better. It didn't.
Opportunities and choices that I can take away from this thread:
1. Avoid industries/fields that are thick with jeets.

It's true. They pretend to understand everything and don't ask question, lest they look incompetent. I worked with pajeets for 3 months. They were let go and our team had to spend a year fixing the code.
