Are Lithuanians the closest thing to the original Yamnayas (Aryans)? Posted on May 24, 2023 by Anonymous Are Lithuanians the closest thing to the original Yamnayas (Aryans)?
Russians, Finns or Caucasians.
It really depends where they came from. If from Lower Don they probably had a lot of CHG, similar to Progress.
Finns are finns
Russians are mongo-finno-slavo monstrosities
A lot of Russians are actually cryot-Balts
Balt lands used to reach to current day Moscow.
Many Russians have the sharp square jaws that are commonly associated with the Baltics.
Andrei Tarkovsky is a better example.
>sharp square jaw
>pic shows big round double chins
This is an Eastern European phenomenon caused by lack of chewable meat during soviet times. Like in the west they either cope with macho image or turn to homosexuality, but they dont shoot up schools or anything like that. Nothing to do with genetics
Come on, that's cope. My one is caused by too many beers and fatty food.

Sredni Stog sample. They are mixed, though.
isn't this guy like 25% UKR_N
Considering we have 4200 BC Sredni Stog samples that look nearly identical Yamnaya, it would be surprising if that isn't what they looked like.
Pre-Sredni Stog samples look different, so I think it's quite likely the Sredni Stog samples are already mixed.

Stog is mixed relative to progress, it's unclear how diverse they (and Suvorovo) are. It sounds like some of the Suvorovo samples might lack the UKR_N and ANF (pic related) but they may just be purposely vague about it.
The question then becomes what counts as PIE. My money would be that the progess-like ancestry from around the lower don is responsible. I don't know if that will be reflective of the uniparentals though (where R-M269 is from).
The Csongrad guy should have EEF mtDNA (the giurgiulesti burial 4 has it in previous slide) so I imagine the "Khvalynsk autosomal" profile isn't exactly precise.
No one can agree on what genetic profile of the original Proto-Indo-Europeans was but they probably had Y DNA haplogroup R1a.

CHG is fundamental for the formation of PIE. There's no way around it. The original PIE already had CHG ancestry, so the question is only how much.
G25 is useless to measure yamnaya, it canot even properly measure CHG in europe comapred to Qpadm, finns are some lf the least steppe in northern europe.
Lithuanians are the highest steppe tho. 55%
How similar is Lithuanian paganism to Vedic religion?
I dont think we have much records about baltic paganism in general
This one has a worse P value than
But yes finns have low CHG compared to the rest of northern europe. And like 10% chink.
The lithuanian modeled with yamnaya has very good P value though.
It's because of their EHG ancestry. If you add EHG then G25 will show lower Yamnaya ancestry. But Yamnaya was mostly EHG in the first place so Finns are still closer to them than others.
No, G25 has problems with CHG distal positioning because the highest CHG populations are deeply drifted. So CHG has a skewed assigned coordinates within G25 dimensions.
QPadm, which is an actual Professional tool not limited like g25 can accurately give yamnaya ancestry even when EHG is added to the model
Finns dont have aditional EHG, is Nganassan-like
The R1a Lithuanians yes. The N Lithuanians no.
There's no difference between them though
Except that the R1as got cucked by the N1 at some point
baltoid slaves resemble the kind of inferior eef-whgroid creaturas raped and destroyed by indo european BVLLS
Nah, those would be iberians and sardinian pygmies.
Baltics resemble EHG and even central asians more than farmoids
>white person with beard exists
LEEEE HECKING YAMNAYA ANCIENT PEOPLE TOTALLY LIKE MY EPIC CARTOONS
