Alpha is alright. My olive one is now coming apart at a seam after 7 or so years and is badly waterstained. There are a plethora of others though. I’d guy with whichever you like the look of the best. Consider what cut, zips, lining etc you want. Personally I’m looming to replace my black alpha with one with a black lining rather than orange.
    t. owns 7 bombers and will probably be purchasing pic rel on Saturday

From ‘K-Two Studios’. Never heard of them but saw them on Instagram. This releases on the 4th so I’ll buy depending on price. Based on what I can tell I’m guessing it will be $350.

have you considered the buzz rickson x william gibson collection

I have! Big fan of this and definitely a contender. Not cheap from what I remember though

I have a rothco ma-1. It is warm and comfy, but the shell fabric is a bit stiffer than my Alpha so it looks a little awkward. Also the cwu-45 pattern looks better than the ma-1.

I have a european Alpha jacket (which are different than American ones) and a Brandit one.
Today I went to Zara and felt one of their bombers and it felt much better than either of those because the shell was much stiffer, so was the collar. Stiching was also super clean.
I think quality differs wildly so if you can examine what you’re buying, you can probably get a great example anywhere and for cheap. If blind buying, maybe trust one of the bigger names.

I boight a bomber from Zara and ended up throwing it away. For one, the seams started to come apart after a few wears but most importantly: it was not warm at all. Even on a mild winter day I was freezing because the lining was shit.

    >is alpha industries price justified through better craftsmanship and materials
No, alpha industries makes cheap junk. They haven’t made anything good in 40 years at this point.

Ah I guess alpha isn’t typically stocked in the EU then? Its still probably cheaper finding a deal online and eating the international shipping cost

It is here in the UK but £130+ retail. And I don’t think they’ve been sold here long enough and or widely enough for there to be a decent 2nd hand supply

Are you guys sure a second-hand alpha is hard to get?
People bought the shit out of them just before Trump.
I gave an alpha x ben sherman away for nothing.
Wish I had sold it instead, to be honest.

Not sure if it’s the best for the price, but I’ve owned mine for about 10 years and it’s still holding up. I’m planning on wearing it this winter.
