If yes, pls post a pic
is this the current fa meme? god you guys are pathetic.
What? I don't get it.
dont have any pics, i wear dark blue faded jeans with a white t shirt, 1460 crazy horse martens and brown leather jacket,
Don't have any pics yet, but I ordered "levis 514 - storm rider" with 31 Tencel, will post when I got it in the next days.
low rise trash
which Levis number would you recommend instead?
Wrangler 936, levis are overpriced
>Wrangler 936, levis are overpriced
Here in Germany Wrangler and Levis are more or less the same, we don't have 936 (cowboy slim fit) here, but I imported it once (for about 50€), the sturdy material was nice, but it was unfortunately too slim for me, also the front and back rise weren't that high, more or less the same as in Wrangler - Arizona and Levis 501.
Could you recommend a Levis number instead, they are more likely to get here.
thrift stores are lined with levis
Not that anon but 505, 501 '93, and 551z are good choices
501, 505,551 have all a straight fit and sit at the waist, they differ slightly in how roomy they are in the hip, seat and thigh area.
The 514 is also a straight fit, but the rise is lower, some will not like this, however the good thing compared to the other straight ones is that the leg is slightly slimmer, which gives them a smarter more universal silhoutte, so that you could wear them at work.
>501, 505,551 have all a straight fit and sit at the waist
Thats what makes them better than the 514. Low rise is trash.
>the good thing compared to the other straight ones is that the leg is slightly slimmer
You can tailor the leg on the other models to make them slimmer if you need a more fitted look. And considering levis go down to a 26 or 27 waist on the website for some models, OP can absolutely find something to fit his waist and hips then have it brought in.

too expensive to do it here in Germany, makes only sense if you have those skills yourself
Whats the average price of alterations there?
>could wear them to work
Even 501s in my waist size are skin tight on me. Gain some muscle
Try 501 '93
I'm not huge (25" quads) but normal 501s in my waist size are a struggle to pull up all the way. The '93 version is roomier up top and fits great in my usual size.
>low rise trash
is it just the front rise or back rise, for me it's okay if the front rise is not that high as long as the back rise is high enough to cover my ass clevage.
did you try the 514 on your own body and if yes how many different ones?
Somewhat unrelated but I’m an autist and as a child I was baffled by the notion of buttoning up one’s pants so I’d always get jogger bottoms or 514s but they never had the 514s in my size and they’re expensive to get in my country so I’d get them several inches to long and they’d look really weird. Thank you for reminding me of this anecdote. 🙂
Why these two?
Autism causes you to favour established precedents to a ridiculous degree (hence why functioning autists tend to be more conservative). I’m from northern England where a lot of people dress like shit, hence the use of jogger/tracksuit bottoms outside of sports/exercise. The also don’t have zips and are cheap as fuck which is important in a region where most families are strapped for cash and rely on tax credits. I generally preferred jeans to these.
The first pants I remember had zips on the fly, not buttons (doesn’t help that English schools mostly have uniforms but kids grow quickly so you almost always have to wear cheap Asian crap). That’s the established precedent so that’s what I viewed as normal and things outside that were strange and incomprehensible to me. 514’s were some of the only levis I could find which had a zip rather than a series of buttons (Levi’s are ridiculously expensive in the uk so I always got them a few sizes to big).
Eventually I tried pants with buttons not zips and now I’m fine with both. Now I generally wear dress shirts, chinos, a jumper if it’s cold, and a tweed jacket if it’s really cold. I think the lumpenproles in this region dress abysmally and I want no part in it.
I am surprised that the only Levis with a zipper you could found was the 514 since the 501 is the only one with a buttonfly, what would imply, that where you live there are only two varieties of Levis sold.
Levi’s are considered fashionable in the uk. I know you can by them at big box stores like Walmart for less than $50 in the states but in the UK they are generally sold via large middle class shops or through Levi’s own shops. The levis shop in the metro centre was not entirely devoted to jeans and I think they had like 8 or 10 types of jeans but the 501 was shilled the hardest with it taking up a good chunk of the shop (keep in mind that I was a child so the selection was more limited for me, explaining your observations).
Shopping in northern England is weird because it’s centralised. Instead of a ton of small big name stores, or local stores with branded clothing for sale inside, everyone drives to the metro centre or Northumberland Street/Eldon Square and goes to a massive shopping centre (the former is the largest in Europe) unless you’re getting things from a less mainstream brand but still well known brand (e.g. white stuff). Keep in mind this is the far north of England (think Newcastle, Northumberland and Cumbria) not Yorkshire or someone who lives in a tenement across the road from the M25 and claims this makes him northern. Charity shops are an exception to this and you can find good tweed and shirts in them.
I do, they are the best fitting jeans i found after ck discontinued a line of jeans i loved
the only pair of 514s I own fit me too big now, and they look like shit since I only wear them to work
I prefer 511s, I have 6 of those and they're comfy and LULZ, despite being slim
Are you female?
What's your weight and height in the pic and the size of the 514?
I am around 56kg and 172-173 cm
they are 32w, I tend to wear size 30 and 28 at the lowest depending on the fit
have you ever tried the 513, maybe this one would fit better on you
>not buying female levis
ribcage straight ankle and baggy dad cut are godtier unisex fits
I unironically love the way most female clothing fits, but pockets are always the issue. Is this the case with levis pants as well?
have you ever tried the 513, maybe this one would fit better on you
if I ever see them on sale I'll give them a try, they do look nice. I honestly fell in love with the 511's because my job gave me a bunch of commuter pro ones and they were extremely durable, comfy, and stretchy. Like even without the stretch fabric I feel like the cut is really comfy and fits me pretty well
i only have the 715s
just happened to cop a pair from goodwill. are these meant for women? is that why the fit is so weird?
Here is me, 6 feet 1, about 95 Kg wearing a Levis 514 - storm rider in 32/32. The cut is nice, the length is good given one takes the overweight into account, however the material is too stretchy for my taste.
Any recommendations which Levis 514 color-names are less stretchy?
You're too fat. Get out.
this whole thread needs to get to LULZ
you all look like women in jeans
came for girls asses
got men asses
well, better than nothing
I wanted to see tummies and waistlines
I thought I did but I only have 511's and 513's
