Anyone got any good recommendations for Western-style shirts/clothes in terms of brands or where you could reasonably find this stuff, outside of the West?
Sometimes I see pieces pop up here or there in Thrift Stores/Op shops around the place, but this shit is few and far between, and "Western Themed" clothing stores always seem to cater to people who weigh 350 pounds, seriously, drove to a local western wear clothing store and they didn’t have anything below XXL
So any one got some good recommendations on where to start finding this stuff/brands I could at least search online?

It’s only a LARP if you have no actual connection to the lifestyle the clothes portray. It’s not my fault your personality isn’t even as deep as the fabric you wear.

      >want to be free like natural Americans
I won’t let you tell me what to not wear, government friend.

Why is it that only Mexicans wear this fashion across all ages and areas, yet most still only recognize the white cowboy stereotype of it?

Mexican frontier clothing pretty much was and is westernwear. I never hear Mexican yapping about white cowboys. Where exactly are you from?

People don’t realize that Mexicans created this style. American media and film spends a lot of time making fun of rednecks so most people outside Latin America associate this look with red-state America.

It also turns up in Australia more than you’d think.

generally, anywhere the british arrived that had weather hotter than their usual 15C has some variety of "western" wear. the stuff you see in the US, with the garish shirts, is informed by what the spanish/mexicans were wearing.

Australian rural look is more khaki trousers, blue office shirt and leather bush hat or Stetson.
When I lived in central QLD (Moura) this is how everyone dressed.
The main thing that seems unique to Aus and NZ is that rural people still wear duster "Stockmen" coats, so usually Drizabone, but also Barbour.

Wrangler cowboy cut is the only jeans you should wear. Their whiskey color and traildust are absolutely kino.

Boots are by far the most important aspect. I would always recommend Lucchese, but I just got a pair of Boulets and they’re honestly my new favorite.

    Hat has to be stetson.

Shirt is the least important. Wear some anime weeb shit it doesn’t matter

Jean, corduroy, or carhartt work jacket.

Don’t worry about being called a larper. As long as you’re White, you’re a friend in my book.
