Just feels like I’m going to be releasing music to the void. But yeah it makes sense that release frequency is important. I’m working on an album but should probably have a lot of singles to
drip feed after the album comes out.
I’ve considered buying streams tbh. I don’t have any faith that I’ll organically break out, even though the music is solid. What does a flagged page entail? If it just means I get blacklisted from a dying industry I don’t really care. If they literally pull my music off that’s a different story
Yeah who knows. I put out a single last year and did one of those campaigns, where you pitch to playlists (not thru Spotify itself). I peaked at 145 listeners then slowly bled out. Currently sitting at 0 lmao.
Which honestly is fair, it’s just one song with no touring and no press cycle. But man the fear of that happening to my entire album is mounting.
Can’t you just buy some cheap stolen phones/iPods from a negro and have them stream your shit all day. Hell I’m sure I have five or six old devices that connect to wifi lying around somewhere
Yeah that’s the problem. I make music that is somewhat retro influenced and only appeals to a smaller audience of music heads, it’s not really normie music for 2023 teenagers. I don’t expect millions of streams and listeners. My pipe dream is 10K monthly listeners and that’s significantly less than most acts making similar music.
I suggest making memes with your music in the background. Post to socials and promote them from there. Though I only got 10 monthly listeners myself. I'm seeing some success in getting new followers that will hopefully convert to monthly listeners. I advise against paying for streams. Bots really degrade your value, organic growth is the best Imo
Put on some lip stick and high heels, write a rap verse, say the n word, suck a dick and put it behind an OnlyFans paywall. Antics get you listeners/views today
You have to remember there’s more people than ever releasing music so you have to do something to distinguish yourself from the masses. I’ll fuck you on camera for just $500 to my audience of about 16k paying subscribers if you want help getting on
You need a song that has at least 10 seconds that are really catchy and replayable and try to get it to blow up on tiktok. Also make sure it sounds good sped up and slowed down and release a version of those as well to make sure you can capitalize off of it. Best of luck.
Make good music for one, upload frequently. If you post your stuff here I’ll give it a listen

do something famous
i hate this image cause it leads people to believe asians are actually cool and masculine which they aren't
i dont know about masculine, but k pop is proving asians can indeed be cool
Why do you care how people perceive asians
I have a theory
Whatever you do don't get scammed by shitty companies that'll bot your streams and flag your page

I'm not sure but the algo probably won't be happy

Make good music.
Oh wait, you can't.
>good music
>popularity
pick one
I pick both because popular music doesn't mean bad music all of the time.

become famous and plug your music. lil nas x ran a meme page and started his career by using his own music over the memes.

Boycott spotify.
