    Any good bromance novels?
I'm talking two+ guys that don't know each other. They meet in a bar, one's shy and slender, one's tall and outgoing. They chat, but you don't really know if it's flirting or banter, and neither do they. The night draws on, liquor and low-lighting mix, and the tall one begins to think the slender guy's kinda cute. Friendly jostling turns into something more as boldness leads and submission follows in a dance that ends in a dusky room. There, a love blossoms that neither expected. But as the moon slinks below the horizon and dawns rude face parts the darkness, the gravity of the situation begins to set in. Both make awkward excuses to leave, but as much as they want to distance themselves, neither can forget the passion of that night. Will it remain a fond memory? or will destiny bring them back together again?
Acquaintances to brothers, and maybe something more. No girls, no romance. Just bros.

I enjoy stories like this too. Of course these days there's usually an underlying homosexual agenda. But I just want stories about friendship and brotherhood between men.

If they have a homosexual agenda, it won't be "underlying". These days they're pretty open about it.

Don Quixote without a doubt. The thread is young, but I'm disappointed no one had mentioned it already

I was looking to see if anyone posted this.

There's no way Tolkien wasn't inspired by Quixote and Sancho when he created Frodo and Samwise. I don't know if he even knew it or mentioned it himself, but once I read Cervantes it immediately became apparent.

it has some romance with women, but the romance is more of a plotpoint to explpre the 2 men's different outlooks on life and their friendship rather than an end in itself.
