Im mtf. People have misinterpreted academia on gender and now a few terms are mangled beyond recognition and it's causing issues with trans people.
Gender means something, even if it is a social construct. Social construct has never meant something is fake, just that it's subject to social/cultural attitude.
Academic institutions that deal with gender studies have at no point claimed that there isn't a psychological differentiation between the sexes. They've stated exactly the opposite.
Political activists have made the mistake of taking the 'gender is a social construct line' and running with it. There is a concrete reality to gender/transgenderism in psychology.
Xenogenders are not valid as they don't match anything inherent to our psychology. 'Woman' and 'Man', gender wise, mean something, there is a criteria for being a transgender person.
You can't just identify freely with genders. That doesn't make you valid. Even the term 'identify as' no longer means anything - you were never supposed to be able to just self-id as something, your identity is simply what you *are*, not what you choose to be.
Im on the fence with non-binary people. Somebody could conceivably lack a gender or be so in the middle it's valid. Im not sure. I vie with caution and respect non-binary people's identities/pronouns.
I feel the same about gender-fluid people.
However, I draw the line at xenogenders and garbage like 'Demiboy'. Those are not valid. They are nonsense made up for attention.

I feel so outnumbered being the only trans person i know who doesnt buy all the xenogender shit. im glad my friends are nice to me but it gets tiring being surrounded by gendertards and theyfabs.

no lol, that just means youre a top or have a futa fetish. want to penetrate -> top, want to be penetrated -> bottom, and obviously it would be nice to have something very much built for exactly what you want, most especially if you only care about having one during sex genitals alone are miniscule and will only really cause 'dysphoria' if you are trans and have had consistent experiences with this stuff plus forced to have it turn into a horrible 'reminder' for what you are, for what isnt there, and for what you can/cant do or when it gets in the way of sex/masturbation. also ignore the everloving shit out of

no you are just ftm but do not want to look like a pooner

if you were a pooner your thought process would be completely different and you would have 100% noticed it by now

What does valid even mean anyway? Backed by science or worthy of being respected? If its the latter, tbh its hard for me to take anything beyond binary trans seriously. Xenogenders just feel like a game of pretend for immature people and/or people who don't have a solid identity, as mean as that sounds, 99% of people feel that way and for good reason.

Nonbinary isn't 100% bs to me, but its so slippery and ambiguous that it's hard to pin it down to a concrete thing to take seriously to begin with since the whole point is that any nb person's feelings about their gender is different. As mean as it might sound to some, we all know deep down that many people use the label for bs reasons- whether political, lacking an identity, mental illness, malingering, etc. But there are also some nb ppl I've seen that do seem to have the same degree of pain/deep-seated psychological compulsion to identify that way that I see in binary trans ppl that makes me take them seriously. Singular they/them pronouns are just never gonna feel natural and normal to me, but for the few nbs that to me honestly seem like they need to express themselves that way, even if using their pronouns is always gonna feel forced, I can at least respect that they're not just some dumb young person being young and silly.

But the problem is how do you tell who's legit? Its pretty easy to tell who's not plenty of times, but unless you sit someone down and psychoanalyze them, they all just look like trenders on the outside to some capacity.

At the end of the day, I wanna be kind. I really do. I hate hurting people, even lightly. But I just can't blindly accept anything people tell me about themselves. When my gut just feels like something is off, I cannot ignore it. Even if I push it aside, it'll still be there staring at me. I strongly believe everyone's view of reality is different so it makes 100% sense that nb ppl would believe in what they do. But my view is just different than theirs.

      >Nonbinary isn't 100% bs to me, but its so slippery and ambiguous that it's hard to pin it down to a concrete thing to take seriously to begin with

I have to agree with you here, nonbinary is such a broad, catchall term that it becomes almost useless.

Like, I meet some NB people and they are on hrt and physically transitioning to have an ambiguous gender presentation, and its like, "yeah that makes sense". I then also meet other NB people who are not transitioning but are very androgynous in presentation and have a queer sexuality and its like "yeah that makes sense too"

but then you meet those NB people who dont transition, look and present as their assigned gender, dont really describe having much dysphoria or even say they dont have it and their NB-ness basically boils down to "I use they/them pronouns, sometimes" and its like "that doesnt make sense..."

Currently the mainstream LGBT idea is that "everyone is valid" and so people can be included if they self identify, and to be fair its hard to say what the cutoff is for "not non-binary enough" which I dont really want to go around dictating that.

i think the biggest issue is that the growth in NB part of the community has led to a distortion of the norms, where suddenly presenting as gender ambigious is treated as a "goal" and discussing dysphoria can be seen as almost taboo. and this can be very alienating for binary trans people

    Kylie

    Me.
There are only 2 genders, gender isn't a social construct.
Everyone who claims to be "non-binary" always is just not typically masculine or feminine (and lacking attention, also ugly).
They make up a new gender around their personality because it doesn't fit a stereotype, it's stupid.
You don't have to be overly feminine as a girl, you don't have to be overly masculine as a man. Stop making up new genders because you don't fit a stereotype.
I swear this is only because our society is so messed up that people have a hard time knowing what it means to be human.

There are two genders. Two categories, two extremes on an axis, two elements of characteristics we've called masculine and feminine. They are based off the normative sexes.

The rest, tomboy, femboy, are variations, deviations, styles. Weirdos can be weirdos, but this is like trying to make a new color.

    Agender Agenda

There are no "men" and "women".
There are males, females, and intersex with proximities to either.

    There is no gender.
There is no real binary (you cannot find a 100% "man"; there is no real definition of "man") so there is no non-binary.
There are males on HRT, there are females on HRT, there are intersex on HRT.

Consequently, there are men, transmen, women, and transwomen. You will get dumped into a box based on apparent sex or attempts at looking like a sex.
