All the anti-Linux shilling is making me want to try Linux.

All the anti-Linux shilling is making me want to try Linux. There has to be something to it if glowies shill this board 24/7 to discourage me from using it.

You’ll never go back. Using basic shit like internet browsing, video streaming and playing music is effectively the same on Windows and anything beyond that is way easier to do on Linux

They fear you might actually like it. Because they where too dumb to use it themselves.

Buy a new cheap SSD and just mess around with it, try to do some things you'd do on windows. I went in yolo mode and wiped windows 7 for linux mint, still using it

if you know how a computer works the only thing holding linux back is software compatibility. i used it for a while with kde, but i went back for windows because it is simply more compatible and coherent to use, albeit more annoying to navigate.

That's not what OP is saying. He's saying the anti-Linux shilling is too obvious.

is the thread you linked not technology? it's literally about linux
(and yeah it's low quality bait but it's better than stuff like

You're on the right track. It's not normal to go all "NNOOOO DON'T USE IT, W-WHAT ABOUT ADOBE??" when a random person wants to try a new OS. You're not meant to discover or like free software.

Buy a cheapass refurbished mini pc to play with, and keep your other pc.. It'll allow you to start using it on your own terms, whenever it suits you + gives you opportunity to try out different distro's to see what works for you

Don't find what you want, you can always try later, in a hurry for some feature, don't get frustrated trying out 10x different ways to do something..

I've been running linux for over 20y, I've ran it as only OS for 15+ > bought a second pc 3y ago to run windows again (unreal, blender) still on linux as main workstation.

I'm even considering buying a mac mini for music production (fl studio) that's currently on my windows

    >there are people who haven't used Linux at all
Even back in the day when I was mostly a Windows user I just had to have a secondary headless Linux PC for doing basic shit like wiping drives and doing networking shit. It's all the extremely basic stuff that gets difficult with Windows.

honestly though, the bigger problem than troll threads is subhuman freetard naggers that wont shut the fuck up and just ignore troll threads

It's funny how outside of LULZ people don't even consider Linux as an option for desktop os, and the ones who use Linux have to deal with being the odd ones out. Meanwhile here on LULZ, it's the ones who don't use Linux that feel the need to defend themselves and justify their choice.

I used to post on LULZ daily, but now I go months between posts and part of the reason is that the anti-Linux shilling has really reached insane levels. I don't know if it's trolls or glowies or just cope from crossboarders who don't want to step out of their comfort zone with computers, but I do know it's not worth my time discussing software here anymore. Surprisingly, it's even easier to discuss Linux on LULZ instead of LULZ now.
