What is the advantage of, you know let’s say, 6ft vs 5ft tall?
He was 5'4
Not 5'0
5'0 is children tier, even in ancient times
>He was 5'4
cope
4 inches is a big deal. 5' vs 5'4'' is a huge difference, more than 10cm.
>about 5 feet
that means he could have been 5'4'' which is normal (162cm). 7 feet (213cm) is still much taller compared to 5'4''
That's just wrong on so many levels. Plutarch described Porus as 4 cubits and a span, which is generally considered to be around 6'3. And he at no point mentions Alexander's height. Arrian mentions that Porus was 5 cubits, but the issue then becomes in various cubit measurements since the Greek and the Macedonian cubit were different. Generally Porus is considered to be around 6ft, perhaps an inch or so above.

5'4 was like average
Average height of an ancient Greek was 5'7", archeologically confirmed. Easy google.
>Alexander the Great is only 5'4
How do you know that?
Average Macedonian height at the time of Alexander was around 5'7 (based on osteoarcheology), Arrian describes Alexander as being slightly shorter than average, so probably 5'5. Analysis of art depicting Alexander, mainly done by Alexander Stewart (professor of Greek and Roman art at University of California) puts Alexanders height at 5'7.
>deducing someone's height from doodles
lol
"historians" never cease to amaze me with their stupidity
Osteo- (bomes, see osteoporosis) -archeology (artifacts)
I'm barely educated and that's easy to deduce. How did you even think it has to do with doodles?
because he's a troll and you keep taking the bait
>had heterochromia
>had blonde hair
Alexander was a fucking mary sue
I've been thinking about her situation, and it's a really like 1984:
>Oceania is now at war with Eastasia. Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.
Ellen Page is now Elliot Page. Elliot Page has always been Elliot Page.
I was reading something about how during the conscriptions for Naploenic armies , the minimum height allowed (to be able to use a musket effectively) was about 5', and a full 25% of men were rejected for being below that.
Mostly because of malnutrition , the peasantry ate an estimated 2k calories and very little animal protein.
2000 a day is an adequate amount.
Reading about how ancient people were manlets makes me feel better about being 5'8"", which is short for modern times.
you would of been a chad back in the day
he was only slightly below average. everyone at that time was shorter due to less animal proteins in diet. also his dad was 5'10 which at that time was considered very tall.
