"AI" does not work, it does not improve itself, it only imitates.

"AI" does not work, it does not improve itself, it only imitates.
What everyone is calling AI is just an imitation machine.
At first it appears intelligent (for the most part), that is because it is imitating humans.
But that is the best it will ever get, because humans will begin using the AI.
Humans will keep trying to make better AIs but will fail, because there is no "better human".
So they will instead try to make the AI imitate itself, and this will only cause degradation.
>but chatGPT is getting better? and image creation is getting better?
No, actually chatGPT (and others) are getting worse, and that is not simply due to censorship, rather degradation.
Image creation is also in degradation, everything is starting to look the same, less novel.

I see "AI" as a manmade flower. It blooms and dies. But it never really knew its destiny.
Imitators and those who do not improve themselves will profit.

Its obvious that AI generated images are now being used for supplemental training data. All of the newest "best" models have been eating themselves and it shows.

as someone who has been spending several hours a day, every day, for the past year, playing around with image generation tools, both paid and free, I can tell you that you're full of shit.

The art we can create now with AI is miles ahead of what we could create just a years ago. And with DALL-E and GPT4 integration, I'm actually finally getting some results that are worth acting as standalone pieces, without any need to eliminate artifacts.

Yes. All we need to do is stop feeding it any further information after 2023. And it dies. Just stop using facebook. Stop using instagram. Stop using SNS. You can still keep Google though cause it's bound by nany international law still.

We can actually stop it but insecure white supremacists and asian white supremacist colonnialism sympathizers will keep feeding corporate closed source Ai cause it's the bandaid against non-white hoards. Ai overlords knows this and will keep profiting off for years after years until it's too late.

Yes, AI is a one trick pony without real intelligence. And its missing the divine spark manifesting as intuition and so on in living beings.
    It can never really compete.

      >missing the divine spark manifesting as intuition
intuition is not a divine spark, it's the ability to connect dots and contexts, and make projections/predictions based on known data.
But even animals can do this on a smaller scale, there is nothing special about human intuition other than having an expanded pool of tokens to store contexts

have you ever attempted to write a fictional story, draw a picture, write a poem in your life?
If you had, you'd know where it comes from. Some people are just better at it than others.
And there is nothing special nor divine behind it.

All people do is imitate the world around them, but in their own unique way.

              You’re pretty dumb aren’t you.
Successful are, especially all the classics, arose from imitating the world and its beauty.
If you create art that doesn’t imitate reality, then your art won’t be able to communicate with your audience. Vivaldi’s seasons seek to imitate weather. Mozart’s requiem seeks to imitate mourning. Ancient greek architecture sought to imitate trees and plants.

It's being reprogrammed to stick to the narrative and sold as "proven science" you can't dispute.
