Not sending someone to eternal torture is more merciful than sending someone to eternal torture.
A NORMAL human inherently understands this.

            Dirk

Even if so it's unjust. Christian theology does not claim god is maximally merciful, as in exercises mercy in all circumstances. He has however performed the work to cover the sin debt of the whole world who repents, so like was discussed before it's a sinner problem not a god problem.
If the bank loans you $1mil, then the bank offers to forgive your loan without payment, and you don't accept the offer, the bank cannot he accused of failing to be merciful.

            Anonymous

            >Christian theology does not claim god is maximally merciful,
            >"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies NEVER come to an end." Lamentations 3:22
            >"But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his PERFECT PATIENCE as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life." 1 Timothy 1:16
            >"Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, “Return, faithless Israel,” declares the Lord. “I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord;” “I will NOT be angry forever.” Jeremiah 3:12

Now of course Dirk will proceed to give the ad hoc rationalizations he has memorised in order to convince us that the Bible definitely doesn't contradict itself. It's a typical christcuck practice.

By what standard are you getting the moral expectation that God will indeed fulfill the promises He made in the Bible, Dirk? After all, if "God's ways are not our ways", why assume that He wouldn't lie to us (for morally sufficient reasons, of course)?

            Dirk

His past promises which were fulfilled
You're really throwing a hail Mary with this one because if God is entirely unknowable or his word untrustworthy like you're implying you could not claim to know annihilationism is true or ECT is false

            Anonymous

            >His past promises which were fulfilled
Why do you assume that God has to be coherent? It seems like you are applying your subjective and "untrustworthy" human moral expectations to Him
            >You're really throwing a hail Mary with this one
Yes, that's precisely what I'm trying to show: that to appeal to divine inescrutability like you christians do in order to justify the many immoral actions of your God os ultimately self-refuting. I'm not a Christian, of course, ans precisely because of things like these.

Just think about it. How many billions are in the furnace right now, roasting in darkness and being sodomized with flame for their sins. And the fact that so many of their crimes are so trivial, so pedestrian, fills me with glee. So many "good" people who were only good because they were nobodies, because they didn't try to be any better than slime, when God meant for them to be so much more and they spat in his face by being nothing. Now Hell is where they are and Hell is where they will stay, forever. Anyone who's been down there for even a month might think it's been thousands of years. And there are many who have been down there for thousands of years, yet that's just a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of nothing compared to the unfathomable immensity that is eternity. It's just going to keep going and going and billions more will be added to bottomless pit of screaming souls. Rot in Hell motherfrickers, you deserve it and I'll spend every second of eternity in paradise looking down on you and gloating.

We are all sinners. God will sort us out one way or another. If you don’t believe in God or hell then why even bother questioning it? The bible clearly states how Jesus descended into hell and harrowed it. So no, mrs. 1000bc who loved a good life isn’t burning in hell forever. The rest of us just have to do the best we can and hope by the grace of God we do Ok.

The only "god" that chooses to worshp in this modern society is "self"; that and the fetishism of their perverted lusts. You are a graceless fool who is bereft of the truth, and your contribution to "society" is merely a pebble atop a mass grave. Be gone with you.
