Why didn’t Africans adopt armor on any significant scale Europeans Asians or even Meso Americans?

Africa has no iron whatsoever and the side with more iron wins every war.
Africa has no resources in general yet his might be a midwit board and deny this.

What? Africa has tons of resources, they were just mostly unexploited until European colonization began.

Plentiful food that's all around you (if you know how to shoot a bow and arrow, or throw a spear), beautiful scenery. Why mess with it? People could go on living for 100,000 years like this.

"resources" is a very broad term, the main resource was food and in tropical regions disease and pests like the tsetste fly make this difficult, I read somewhere their fallow periods were something like 8 years whereas in most places it was only 1 year, this combined with lower crop yields and greater labor tending to crops meant a lower food surplus to support full time artisans, blacksmiths, miners, traders and so on

        >...he had become listless and indifferent to progress
Plentiful food that's all around you (if you know how to shoot a bow and arrow, or throw a spear), beautiful scenery. Why mess with it? People could go on living for 100,000 years like this.

population grew to fit the resources available, then there would be pressure to expand

Africa had iron but it didn't have any large scale iron production like other civilizations. African armour was either imported mail or quilted armour.

          One for West Africa

          https://escholarship.org/uc/item/5qm131kj

And one for North Africa. These are both older than anything resembling the Portuguese, and if the Portuguese introduced Iron to Africa, then why don't rural Africans smelt iron the same way the Portuguese did in the late 1400s? And furthermore, why is there a god of metallurgy/god of iron in the Yoruba faith named Ogun? Hell, in some of the more conservative sites in West Africa that belonged to the Nok culture, it's thought that certain ethnic groups like the Yoruba, Jukun, and Dakarkari/Lena might be descended from them. Even now, there are people who give offerings to Ogun, though with the spread of Evangelical Christianity that practice is likely to go extinct within the next 50 years.

NTA but it doesn't say the Portuguese introduced ironworking as a whole to Africa. It says there was no evidence of waterpowered bellows being used in the smelting process prior to Portuguese contact.

      >Africa has no iron whatsoever

Who told you this? West Africa was in the Iron Age as far back as 400 BCE, and possibly 2000 BCE. Hell, there are still tribes who make iron the old fashioned way.

This is from the Mafa people, a Chadic Afro-Asiatic speaking population related to Nilotic and West Africans.

They did. West Africans and East Africans wore armor. Here's an example of 19th century Hausa mail: http://web.prm.ox.ac.uk/weapons/index.php/tour-by-region/oceania/africa/arms-and-armour-africa-8/index.html

Not sure about Ghana, but Mali absolutely was. Malian metal and salt exports were among the highest in the entire world.

Mali lasted from 1235 to 1670. That’s longer than the Song Dynasty.

Ghana existed from around 300 AD to 1076. Longer than the New Kingdom of Egypt.

As for your question, "Why didn't blacks do better?" The answer is simple, they're too stupid to and their environment didn't have enough incentives or the right geographical resources to let real civilization flourish internally. The closest they got was Ethiopia, which suffers from puny scale architecture, getting outcompeted in their own backyard, and taking shortcuts as a result instead of having a visionary mindset like the Ottomans.

The resources are the only part of your post that is correct, obviously it's physically impossible that they could make armor and all the areas that had resources made armor.

Mail is useful for people who fight with slashing swords. If you aren't using slashing swords, then you don't need armor that is designed to defend from slashing swords.

You need metal in order to get armor. You also need skill, which means you need books as well as a writing system. And you also need a relatively stable society that's also relatively large (i.e. feudalism or city-states).
You also need a population with an IQ above 80.
