AEW Criticism/Concerns

We want nothing more than for AEW to succeed however we can't help to notice the overwhelming amount of criticism mentioned on social media. We have gathered this information from the main social media sites and want to provide some of the most dedicated wrestling fans here on Fhite to get their ideas in. Please use this thread to give suggestions or provide details on what we could do better.

Thanks,
AEW Marketing Team

Pac doesn’t need to cheat, Hayter should have costed Britt the match, the distraction in the first match made the ref look dumb. Besides that it was great.

i want you to succeed too, get back to the basics: convince people the wrestlers want to fight and then have then get in the ring and convince the fans that they are actually fighting in a way which makes the fans care who will win

And heres a list of all the male wrestlers with pottential that AEW has/are actively ruined:
    > Adam Cole
    > Andrade
    > Brian Pillman Jr.
    > House of Black
    > Bryan Danielson
    > Christopher Daniels
    > Christian Cage
    > Claudio Castagnoli
    > FTR
    > Dustin Rhodes
    > Eddie Kingston
    > Best Friends
    > Dark Order
    > Frankie Kazarian
    > Private Party
    > Jay Lethal
    > Jungle Boy
    > ReDragon
    > Lance Archer
    > Miro
    > Orange Cassidy
    > Proud and Powerful
    > Rickey Starks
    > Sammy Guevara
    > Samoa Joe
    > Wheeler Yuta
    > Wardlow

I was gonna list out the female wrestlers that they are ruining too but the only decently booked females are Britt Baker D.M.D., Jamie Hayter, and Jade Cargill.
Exposing talents weaknesses to often, one example being Wheeler tonight, and under utilizing people like Bryan Danielson that have to try not to get over.
The titles are starting to mean nothing because they are all being switched too frequently and because there is a million of them.
Every match involves cheating or the ref being actively ignored by wrestlers is tiresome.
I could go on and on but these are my main gripes.

Bonus points to Tony jeebing out every other Dynamite saying "OMG THIS EPISODE IS GONNA BE THE GREATEST ONE OF ALL TIME"

And yes, I realize this post isn't actually from AEW marketing team. But I started laying attention to AEW a couple months ago and this thread was the perfect excuse to air my grievances with AEW that I've noticed in the past couple of months.

        no shit

Another point worth mentioning is the in ring work. The trios title tournament was a fricking spot fest start to finish. I didn't care about what was happening in the ring because none of it matters when guys hit 20 frickin moves in a row and it means nothing. People are in and out of the ring, it's all over the place and it's hard to be invested. There are some spots that are way over used. Rest assured, if there is a match with more than 2 people, somebody is fricking diving to the outside. Probably multiple times. We've seen it too many times, so it means frick all, and repeat viewers will grow tired of seeing it. Blading is done too frequently. Especially with Mox. He needs to frickin slow that shit down. There are some who do great in ring work. Such as:
        >Danielson
        >Cage
        >Jericho
        >Matt Hardy
        >FTR
        >Darby Allen (who also has personality and charisma)
        >Jay Lethal
        >The Acclaimed
        >Swerve
        >Garcia
        >etc.
Some controversial opinions, I know, but I always enjoy watching these guys. They were the first names to pop into my head.
Sometimes you'll have matches that should be main events as the first match of the card. Sometimes they're in the middle of the card. It doesn't make any logical sense to do this. From a ratings standpoint, the best and biggest draws should go last. It always worked and made sense in the past. Why try to fix what isn't broken? Also, as a final note, ring psychology is important. Very fricking important.
Spot fests in those trios matches lost viewers. That is a fact. The fact that some of these guys made it through wrestling school is baffling to me. I'm sure some of them are simply self taught. Crazy high flying acrobatic spots shouldn't be 99% of the match. They should be 5 or 10% so that when they happen, they mean something. And people better sell that shit like their life depends on it.

        >why have important matches throughout the show?

You're missing the point with your second question. What I was really getting at is why have main event level matches at the start, and then absolute shitter trios matches as the main event? Also I don't see how getting into AEW late is really worth criticizing me for. But whatever, homosexual.

You are fricking moronic. The trios matches weren't important to the fricking TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE that tuned out during them. They didn't deserve the be the main event. End of fricking discussion. No zinger from you is going to change that fact.

The stories at times don't make sense week to week. Take for example the way the story with jungle boy, the dinosaur man (whatever the frick his name is) and Christian cage. So dinoboy turns heel on jungle boy. Then later it's revealed that jungle boy told him to do that so that dinoboy could get close to Christian. So dinoboy is a baby face again and he's back with jungle boy. Which doesn't make any frickin sense because he apparently broke his ribs (was a work, of course) and fricked him up while he was Christian's sidekick. Then after jungle boy reveals that dinoboy was his double agent, the next time we see them is at the PPV, and dinoboy turns heel and fricks him up on the entrance ramp. This shit makes no frickin sense. And by the way, the dinosaur gimmick is fricking stupid anyways. Idc if Mick Foley came up with it. Sometimes great people have terrible ideas. Story overall is lacking. Personality in the wrestlers is lacking. Look back at attitude era wwf. Nearly every match had a storyline reason as to why it was happening. Every wrestler had a distinct personality that set them apart from the rest of the roster. A lot of AEW wrestlers have either no personality or extremely similar personalities. There are some people there that would be great if they had more TV time and more time to show their personality. Wardlow could be used better. FTR could be used better. Jay Lethal could be used better. All of these people I just mentioned were in a feud with eachother that, to be quite honest, didn't make any sense to me. Jay Lethal doesn't need a manager to be his mouthpiece. That guy is great on the mic. Why not put him in some sort of feud with Christian or Jericho? Yah know, something that might draw money and attention. Turn him face and do this, and I guarantee a ratings spike. And btw, Sanjay is a great heel manager. Maybe put him with a heel that *isn't* great on the mic. It would make so much more sense.

        Your main eventers should be:
        >Christian Cage
        >Somoa Joe
        >Jericho
        >Danielson
        >Jay Lethal
        >Darby Allen
        >Wardlow
        >MJF
        >FTR
        >The Acclaimed

The fact that every wrestler I just mentioned, aside from MJF and Jericho, are usually mid or opening card wrestlers, makes no frickin sense.

This is why Tony needs professionals. Tony is IWC. Read any IWC 'Book the fed' topic and you'll see people shoot all their wads in one PPV cycle, then they have nothing after that. To Tony's it took him 3 years to run out of ideas instead of 3 months like your typical IWC fantasy booker

Why didn’t they do small video packages before each match again? It got them their highest rating in ages last week.
