I'm aware this could be the abyss looking back at me, but I think they're testing us on some Darwinian "survival of the fittest" type stuff. They still allow us to read and listen to what they all believe and think, so when they tell us to "maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature," I listen and prepare for a time when I may have to prove my spot on the boat or wherever the 500 million people are going. Maybe it's transhumanism-based, like the singularity.

You can also see a mass kill off coming. They don't target individuals. It's usually a large wave of death, by accident or otherwise. 6,881,718 people have died so far from the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak as of May 24, 2023. Then, to clean up their "mess", they release a vaccine. The estimated human cost of the COVID-19 vaccines is 26.6 million injuries, 1.36 million disabilities, and 300,000 excess deaths. Allegedly.

              Interesting question...

It's biosafety-related. That lab may have specific practices, safety equipment, and specially designed buildings to ensure that workers, the community, and the environment are protected from accidental exposure or unintentional release of infectious agents, toxins, and other biological hazards.

"Airborne transmissible diseases like COVID-19 are typically categorized as Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3). BSL-3 laboratories are almost always purpose-constructed containment laboratories, outfitted with specialized equipment and HVAC systems designed to ensure no airborne particles can exit the contained space." - Consolidated Sterilizer Systems

The CDC must've placed COVID-19 next to Anthrax on the biosafety clearance level. Even if it's not as bad as anthrax, the workers in the lab don't make the calls. They have to put the suits on in order to enter the lab and do their job.

Technocrats and old money, to whom you'd be referring, don't mix well. Old money is interested in keeping things as they are or were, which is the opposite of what technocrats want. The only technocrats that I know who were also old money would be David Rockefeller and Evelyn de Rothschild, who both attended Bilderberg Group meetings. The rest of the technocrats are relatively new money in comparison. For example, Elon Musk, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Anthony Fauci got rich later in life. They were born upper-middle-class at best. Musk's dad got rich in the 1980s when Elon was a teen.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Humans were never meant to have that level of power over others. They will inevitably be tyrants, not necessarily because they're bad people (though most that seek control over others are), but because the system demands it.

Libertarianism doesn't work if it doesn't contain mechanisms to prevent the concentrations of power.
Power works much like biological succession. You slash and burn a forest and you get the primary colonizers taking root here and there. They modify the environment in their own way and eventually give way to higher level succession, ending up with the domination of larger plants that block out the sun and use their phytochemical warfare to suppress smaller upstarts.

I dunno really. I think the key lies in the primacy of local power/sovereignty, where local communities can effectively reject anything that the state or federal government wants to push on them. Not sure how that would work in practice though.

                >Libertarianism doesn't work if it doesn't contain mechanisms to prevent the concentrations of power.

Yea I know that centers of non-governmental power infect governments to force regulations to their advantage. That's obviously a huge reason why things are so shit right now.

How would you prevent the growth of centralized power in an environment where centralized power has an inherent advantage?

                >How would you prevent the growth of centralized power in an environment where centralized power has an inherent advantage?
Not that anon but it is typically the introduction of regulation and taxes allow power to be centralized in the first place. I don't believe a business, nor a specific product or service could actually be so good and also impossible to replicate that it would stand a chance to maintain a large market share without state intervention.

Could you please explain to me the meaning of the word "meant" in the context of human evolution. Thank you.

                Anonymous

You can take it in the sense that humans have innate desires to control and dominate their environment. These desires are kept in check by the fact that it's difficult to do so. If you give a person absolute, godlike powers, the checks dissolve and the person is free to engage in limitless domination and control. They also can't oversee what effects their powerful actions, actions that affect millions of people will really have on a granular level, and their psychological defense mechanisms will lead him to dismiss and demonize those who complain that his actions are causing them to suffer.
It's basically just the same sort of thing as taking people who evolved to crave sugar in sugar poor environments and putting them in the world's largest chocolate factory.
You evolve for a particular range of environments, when you're put in a drastically different environment, some of your physiological or physiological mechanisms can become pathological.

                Anonymous

Great explanation. Now to propose a counter argument: existence is not static. Sugar has killed and will continue to kill all those who can't adapt to the new meta. It's just the way it is. Perhaps one day humans will evolve to be capable of wielding power. A lot of creatures will perish in the process, but that's just the way the system operates.

                Anonymous

Yes but what evolutionary mechanism prevents the would be tyrant from being a tyrant? Unless every tyrant is killed to weed out the psychological mechanisms, making them unable to persist in the genes of the population, you'll continue to have tyrants.

                Anonymous

Yes, but why is that a problem? Do you mourn the sugar victims?

Nobody actually has godlike powers so in the real world, there are always limits to domination and control.
What changes is technology. This time around, the powers of surveillance, data processing and weaponry and other mechanisms of control are many orders of magnitude beyond anything that even the tyrants of the last century had.
You should fear the sugar eaters because you are the sugar.

More like, be wary of them and what they want. They seek to dominate and control you.
I don't think it's inevitable though by any stretch. We're seeing a massive bubble in the tyranny market and it's going to burst sooner or later. You're far better off living your life and improving your own local world than worrying about what narcissistic psychopaths in high places are doing.

Absolute power is the end result of consolidation of power. Technological innovation ensures one or few will one day control all, far further than they do now. I would prefer a benevolent tyrant over an insidious one. Free societies --in its true interpretation as opposed to a literal interpretation-- will be a thing of the past going forward, that is reality.

                > Technological innovation ensures one or few will one day control all
I don't agree, though you MAY be right in the end. It's really a war between mechanisms that make centralized power more formidable vs decentralized power.
For example, the printing press decentralized knowledge (a conduit of power) and lead to the enlightenment among other things.
Or cannons destroyed the centralized power of stone fortifications. Or crossbows decentralized power by drastically reducing the barrier of entry to killing a knit (vs longbows, which took a lot more training). Then guns completely flipped the board (which is why they're SO obsessed with taking guns away).
Another example is the death of the battleship vs planes. Little entities of decentralized power overcame the big, 50,000 tones of centralized power.
Technology can swing this balance one way or the other. If you want to be free, you have to help develop technology that enables the decentralization of power.

True. I was surprised to read that small businesses generate 44% of U.S. economic activity (GDP). 33.2 million small businesses exist across the US, and only 2% of those small businesses have between 20 and 499 employees. So if you don't think about this big-picture stuff, you could do just fine in this country. I know a lot of small-town dwellers who don't have a clue about that image or even what LULZ is, but they're way more successful than me.

They do get bamboozled by psyops, though. This image shows us who creates and pushes these psyops that hurt, kill, or displace innocent people.

Anthony Fauci, a technocrat, ruled the US for a few years and it was hell. That's why I'd rather be ruled by a benevolent technocrat like Elon or Linus. Guys who are experts in tech instead of medicine.

I think the fail-safe being built for that is something called the "technological singularity".

        Adding on:
This one god-like entity to rule us all is the goal, but tyrant (a cruel and oppressive ruler) or paragon (a being viewed as a model of excellence), who knows what this ruler will choose. Ray Kurzweil thinks paragon, Max Tegmark thinks tyrant.

I think tyrant is far more realistic, but he will think he's a paragon.
        heres why it is inevitable
        >having other people with power is a direct threat or hindrance to your power

theyll use AI and gene editing to create the perfect slaves, whilst cannibalizing themselves till just one remains.

Wouldn't transhumanism trigger a mass human ego death, which is a complete loss of subjective self-identity, removing the "person" all together?

No longer "he", "I", "your", just "we", "our", "us", etc.

We'd become like the Borg, I think. The Borg are cybernetic organisms (cyborgs) linked in a hive mind called "the Collective".

Or perhaps we'd become like Coral. That's a more pleasant way of viewing it. This tyrannical ruler would essentially be oppressing itself at that point.

      Adding on:
This one god-like entity to rule us all is the goal, but tyrant (a cruel and oppressive ruler) or paragon (a being viewed as a model of excellence), who knows what this ruler will choose. Ray Kurzweil thinks paragon, Max Tegmark thinks tyrant.
