      my dad is from alkmaar and i always say 'my dad is from holland' to people when i know he can hear. he kinda gets triggered but alkmaar is in noord holland so he can't really say shit. good times.

    We literally call it Holandsko and dont even have a word for Netherlands. Funny thing is the czechs who have a very similar language have 'Nizozemsko' but even thinking of a slovak version of that makes me wince.
    So anyway do people get triggered by holland because its problematic? Or just not precise enough?
