fpbp. inb4 heatcopers… I live in yuma az and wear jeans in the summer. Wearing shorts doesn’t make you feel any lets hot, all they do is make you look like a homo or a child and gives you a weird half leg tan. Also if you’re out in the desert you best be wearing parts or your legs are going to get shredded from the brush/cacti out here.

You’re probably stupid but you are wrong: After a certain temperature, humidity and sun intensity not only will shorts not help but they might work against keeping you cool.

Beyond a certain temp, let’s say 85-95 degrees depending on humidity, you’re going to be hot regardless if you’re outside, just accept it. You also have the risk of sun burn and the resulting issues that go with it. You can avoid this by covering up in light, loose layers that breath well. Layering in the summer sounds insane but here me out. Cotton undershirt, loose cotton/linen pants, loose cotton/linen shirt. Protects your skin from getting sunburnt, wicks sweat away from your skin to prevent you from feeling like shit and having gross sweat stains, and has enough space between your skin and the fabric to allow for air flow and evaporation. You’ll feel the same temp wise as wearing a t shirt and shorts, not have to worry about sunburn or wonky tan lines, have better skin and have better fits overall.

This only works for natural fabrics. If you have some wish.com polyester fire hazard long sleeve shirt you are hecked to a comical degree come summer

the only thing i shall say is keep shorts below your knees
i know the trend in more recent years has been to keep it above your knees and show quite a bit of thigh, "sky’s out thighs out and shit like that," but i personally just think it looks much better when men show less leg. showing a lot of leg doesn’t look right on a man imho
and before anyone says anything, yes, i do know that shorts in the 80s/70s and before that were very short, but that’s not something to revert back to in my opinion. i believe the 90s/early 2000s were a GOOD thing shorts wise. i believe they fixed a problem. and now people are trying to break what was fixed
but yes, um…TL;DR keep shorts knee-length or longer. thank you

i also think it’s hilarious to watch some douchebags think they have massive thighs all because they have on some short shorts
short shorts don’t suddenly turn your thighs massive bro…
